With Raya just around the corner, we’ve decided to round up a series of Raya Collections from our local designers to help ease everyone’s process in making last-minute purchases of baju raya! We were spoilt for choice! Below are some of Joyce‘s picks from all the collections >

Jun & i went to catch the preview of LALU The Film, a hyper-stylized 8-minute Malaysian thriller by We Are KIX and Seeing Eye Films. Am so proud of Ion, Jess and the rest of the KIX crew for creating such cool work; and my Arien sista Dee for acting in it!
One afternoon, KBF writer Rachel and I went to the new St. Regis in KL for Bernard Chandran’s fashion show.
In new hotel – take vain pix!

Rest of this post has the most RANDOM pictures of things that i’ve been up to that i found in my phone. Expect blurry shots that shouldn’t probably go on a blog but i’m posting anyway because… i’d like to remember these moments.
Decided to put together a summary of some of my favourite things we did and ate there cos my blogposts on Macau are all split up (due to too many pictures!)
Only in Macau, will you…
… behold the most ridiculously opulent reception areas you’ve ever set eyes on.
This post has NOTHING but food pictures, so if you’re fasting for Ramadan, don’t click to view more unless you’re a sucker for self-torture.
Anyway there’s a lot of tak-halalness.

Dating a chef has its perks (FO SUREEEE). I love not having to move my body out of the apartment while having yummylicious dishes laid out in front of me. And Jun (usually) insists on doing the dishes after, despite my fighting him over it.
Me: Let me do the dishes
Him: No, i want to do it
Me: No la, you cooked already, let ME do it
Him: Cooking is like conducting an orchestra and doing the dishes is like ending it properly…
Me: … … Well, *throws hands up in air* by all means, don’t let me ruin the end of your symphony… *walks away to netflix*
I try to catch MACC every time they put something together and even took my parents before, planning to again! I don’t usually post flyers up but Douglas emailed me to, and i’d like to please anyone who can make me laugh. A lot. They go into a VIP category along with People Who Feed Me Great Food and People Who Inspire Me.
The Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians (MACC) is back promising “100% New Jokes”. That sounded really 80s but i swear it’s in the email he sent. Anyway that’s not an insult, the fact i know this is because i’m from the 80s! (I’m still battling issues with getting older, as you can see.)
