Do you remember the picture of THIS SCARF i posted on my blog after i went to H&M for their SS13 media preview? Well even if you don’t, *i* remember it. It’s kind of evil because we’re allowed to touch and see what’s going to come out, but not buy anything yet. I was told they’ll release the collection some time end January, and i liked the scarf so bloody much i dragged Clem into the store with me (i NEVER make him suffer cos he hates shopping) so i could just LOOK for it and buy it. I took ages to go through the whole store with poor Clem standing in the middle of some empty space. After making sure that the scarf just wasn’t released yet, i caught sight of Clem sleeping standing up with people milling all around him!
He is so embarrassing.
Anyway the SS collection is out now!!!
The scarf i’m obsessed about. I’m so lucky cos i asked the H&M PR to keep the scarf for me, and it’s now with Sher who is GIVING it to me! AHHHHHHHHH!!! (’tis so easy to buy my heart…)
Some of my favourite looks in the SS13 women’s collection.
Clem and i have been watching Suits since a handful of friends recommended the series weeks ago.
WE LOVE IT.
Cammy thinks Harvey has similar eyes to Clem. I think Clem should wear more suits like them. Clem wishes he had as much money as Harvey. -_-
As for the story, the series is about a bunch of witty, dramatic lawyers. Watch the pilot episode trailer for yourself:
Thanks to Diva Universal for extending an invite for me and my friends to meet Patrick J. Adams in person last Friday.
It was quite crazy how many Suits fans there are in KL… there was practically a mob outside, and when Patrick was brought on stage, guests CROWDED around him to the point i couldn’t see anything or take a picture. So i precariously climbed on the bench (next to the water in 21 BSC) in my high heels much to Clem’s distress cos he was SO SURE i would fall in. Thanks for the confidence.
The actor seemed REALLY down to earth (and even slightly shy) in person.
He mentioned how he’d told the rest of the cast back home how everyone knows the show here and they can’t believe it… haha so cute.
Dan of 21 Tables & Terrace drank a combination cocktail of tequila and a bloody mary with me.
It was awesome. The bloody mary masks the tequila so well.
We took LOTS of pictures at the Suits photo booth…
Jay invited me for the launch of her latest project, called PRICED!
(Some of you might recognise her better from TV.)
PRICED is a huge book of ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’ coupons that can be used in all types of outlets
covering F&B, sports & leisure, children’s activities, hotels, and spa & beauty all over Malaysia.
This is not like GroupOn ok… cos those vouchers last only a short period of time, whereas PRICED ones are valid till 31st Dec 2013 so you don’t have to rush and go out of your schedule!
Priced 2013 features coupons with an estimated value of RM30,000 in free offers and savings!
You can purchase the book at MPH for RM99.
I took pictures of inside the book itself so you have a better idea of its contents!
Above are the list of F&B outlets partnering with PRICED. For bars/clubs like Rootz, ChynaBlack and The Pool; the coupons are all ‘1 For 1’ bottles of JW, jugs of long island tea, meals, etc.
My 6th tattoo was a My Little Pony one that brings me MUCH joy and glee every time i look at it.
When i first got it, i’d wiggle my foot up and down and go, “Look! She’s dancing!”
But recently when i peer down at her, i started thinking how she needs a friend.
I was toying around with different cartoons i could get to be my pony’s new friend,
and decided that Peter Rabbit would be perfect!
I went to Lynda who owns Pink Tattoos to get it,
cos she does a lot of cartoons and animated objects
so she’s perfect for the job cos it’s totally her style!
Lynda drafting out my tattoo while her cat Rarr! (name comes with exclamation mark) looks on.
We had lunch before my appointment, and i asked how she got into the business cos it’s such a DIFFERENT thing to do. I loved her honesty about her experience. She said that she used to be in advertising but didn’t love her job. So she did something most people find it difficult to do – she quit her job and took a pay cut to help a tattoo artist friend manage their shop instead. That’s when she started learning how to tattoo, and now has her own gorgeous studio and tattoo business!
I think it’s so courageous of Lynda for doing what she did… most people complain about their job, but instead of taking their future into their own hands, they continue fading away in a life that doesn’t suit them. Money is usually the main factor that scares them into staying in a ‘safe’ position, but money isn’t everything. Taking a step (or rather, many steps) to change your life into doing work that fulfills you and makes you wake up everyday LOOKING FORWARD to work is better than a high-paying job you hate. And most probably, you’ll end up being successful at doing what you love cos the passion will flow naturally. In summary, sometimes you have to destroy your old life to build a new one.

His face is so cute!!! I just want to KISS HIM.
Some people asked why Peter Rabbit. Well it’s cos my uncle Mark’s parents Donald and Mercia gave me some hardcover Beatrix Potter books when i was a toddler (which i still have till today) and i grew up knowing Peter Rabbit, Benjamin Bunny, Squirrel Nutkin, Mr Jeremy Fisher and the rest. When i was 10 years old, i went to visit Aunty Geraldine and Uncle Mark in London, and they took me to watch the Tales of Beatrix Potter at The Royal Ballet and i remember being utterly enthralled and FASCINATED that i saw my favourite characters live.
Even till adulthood (wait, i’m an adult?) Peter Rabbit reminds me of my childhood in England, and of Mercia and Donald, who have since passed on to their next amazing chapter of Existence. So yeah… now you know why i got Peter Rabbit 🙂 CLICK TO READ MORE
I wrote my FIRST ever blogpost on a (then Xanga) blog called KinkyBlueFairy 9 years ago!
It sounds so long when i say nine years… makes me think like, ‘wow. i was so young then.’
I’m not as young now but i’m still not old at all, thanks.
I feel quite proud i’ve been blogging for this long! It’s lasted longer than any other relationship or job i’ve had 😀 I’ve pretty much recorded down hundreds of experiences i’ve had throughout my entire 20s… which is great cos my memory is awful.
I was reading my very very old posts when i first started blogging, and ALL I USED TO WRITE ABOUT WAS DRINKING. -_- And a bit of college adventures. But it was mostly about partying. Hahaha oh man. I guess i can never go into politics (not like i would) what with all the very drunk pictures i used to post.
At least i post about all sorts of things now… and have decreased the drinking incidences. I mean, i still drink, but not like i used to. I CAN’T anyway. My body won’t let me. Speaking of which, if you’re in your early 20s and like partying, i STRONGLY suggest you take some pills for your liver starting now! I wish someone told me that when i was younger… I only just started taking some ayurvedic pills last year. (I buy Kamilari pills.)
Mmm drinking aside, i’m so happy that i still love to blog despite it having being almost a decade.
I still feel so HAPPY when i edit pictures and laugh to myself sometimes when i write down stuff.
I love being able to share all the things i eat and buy and find exciting.
I love the sweet comments and emails that readers send.
I feel so lucky for being spoilt by so many brands in fashion, food and travel.
I’m thankful for the money that this blog earns me, that i get to use to travel and shop and multiply my happiness.
I am very fortunate for all the projects and work that this blog has brought me…
(WOW i feel like i’m about to cry to myself here cos i’m getting emotional thinking about it all!)
THANK YOU to all you readers who’ve been following me on my journey since my early days… It’s because of you that i get to sustain myself doing something i love. So thank you very much.
