I don’t always have the time to attend events these days like i used to… but when an invite comes from a brand whose bags i lovingly and constantly carry around the world with me, i try my best to make an appearance and am always glad i did cos of all the new pieces i get to croon over and touch. Damn i sound like a pervert. But a bag pervert alright!?
I’m not supposed to look at the SS15 pieces but i couldn’t help this one… :p Amber and i on the right. When will i ever learn to wear heels to all events in case i bump into tallies like her…

This is a continuation of my trip in Macau which is just going to be filled with FOOD pictures of where we ate during our trip there (with the exception of our dinner at Robuchon cos THAT deserves a post by itself!).
Tromba Rija was initially founded as a local butcher and wine tavern shop in Leiria, Portugal in 1966. It grew to become a famous formal restaurant, before being brought to Asia and is currently operated by the descendants of its founders, Elisabête and Fernando Real.
The restaurant stays true to its Portuguese roots by serving fine traditional dishes, in a warm and rustic setting that includes private dining rooms and an indoor and outdoor dining area with a view of the water and bridge.

Over 60 signature dishes are served buffet-style that made us salivate the moment we caught sight of the spread. There were so many colours and ingredients making up the array of dishes including cold cuts, cheese, sausage platters… i took it upon myself to try a little bit of each! There were some exotic foods like pigs’ ears with sweet peppers, and the softest quail in olive oil and vinegar sauce.
Fig salad with Portuguese air dried ham and arugula, chickpeas with sundried tomatoes and basil pesto, and baked sardines.
Camarao cozido com sal e piri piri – Stewed prawns with salt and chilli sauce.
Octopus salad with onion + garlic + coriander + vinegar + olive oil. I love octopus! One of my favourite foods when done well.
There were a lot of nuts and dried condiments, along with sheep and goats cheese that tasted beautiful in my mouth.
I tried breaking open a walnut myself for the first time, just cos i’ve never, ended up getting emotionally attached to another by drawing a face on it and forbade the others from eating my walnut friend.
Went for a really fancy event at the end of May, called Valley of the Deer. I felt it was going to be, when they sent over a bottle of Glenfiddich, two glasses and a long handwritten note with the invite. Then a week before the event, they sent over ANOTHER invite. I didn’t know about it till Baby said i got a package and that “it looks fancy”.
Who sends two invites for an event? Such a buildup, how not to go.
The last and only time i sat in a stretch limo was in New York 5 years ago!
Maybe it’s in my fairy stars to start riding them more regularly again *emoticon with hearts in eyes* (Why can’t i have emoticons in my blog… Phillipppppp)
OHAI can i ride like this to work and around town for my meetings every day? Then i can bring my whole team with me and work while in transit as to save time! XD

When we entered the entrance to Carcosa, we were given a gold-embossed Glenfiddich wallet with some cards and Valley of the Deer tokens inside the coin compartment which were proper heavy and to be used for drinks.
I pounced on the canapés once i managed to get a few seconds from talking to people, i was starving!

Have been in an insane roll of work that’s been non-stop since February and barely got enough sleep nor exercise but i LOVE my work so much it doesn’t feel like WORK and i finally got started on my summer trip yesterday.
Got 1.5 hours sleep before my flight to London via MAS. I put the last day off for errands but work got in the way and i ended up packing for a 6-week trip 6 hours prior to my flight. Do you know how crazy that is?! Plus i’d just moved so i was packing from boxes which was so tough and i was almost in tears from the amount of work i had on my mind besides afraid of missing my flight and packing stupidly.
I definitely packed too much cos i brought 40kg of things with me?!
Would’ve thought going on business class meant more shopping space to take home but maybe not…
Slept 4 hours on the plane, landed in London at 5pm, had a wonderful dinner with my family before crashing at 10pm.
Set my alarm to wake up at 3am for some urgent work before having to leave for my flight for Vegas at 7am.
It’s 6:44am now. I need to go SOON.
Been planning my big summer trip since last year cos if i didn’t, i wouldn’t be able to tell clients that i’m just not available.
Will be doing Vegas and Nevada with Yishyene, then back to London for time with family, then i’m off to Berlin, Barcelona, Porto, then London again.
Then maybe China, Japan and Maldives in August/Sept for work but TBC. It’s gonna be a crazy Q3 and Q4.
Got an invite to go to Spain in July but obviously i’m already in Europe somewhere so i’ll send Baby in my place.
And guess what, the dates they are sending her to Barca are the EXACT SAME 3 days i’m there too!
So we’ll be reunited in Barca! KinkyBlueFairy in Barca!!
I will be hiring more rapidly from Raya onwards as there is too much work.

Inspired by Japanese confectionery also known as Wagashi, this capsule collection is based on the visuals of traditional Japanese cakes whereby pastel and candy shades make up the colour palette. Some of the garments make use of traditional closure methods such as ribbon strings in place of modern zips to signify the delicate methods in producing these cakes. Delicate sweetness forms the overall mood of the collection. As a child, you would take me to Chinatown near Soho and show me off to a different friend every few steps we walked. You seemed to know everyone in the restaurant. And when I couldn’t reply in Cantonese, you’d cluck loudly what a shameful Chinese granddaughter I was for not speaking my mother tongue.
When I was a teen, you’d STILL take to the SAME dim sum restaurant in Chinatown; but we bumped into less people cos more of your friends had passed on.
When I was in my 20s, you’d look so confused every time I told you a different boyfriend’s name 🧐 and call me naughty for changing them too often. 😂
You were outspoken, funny and daring. Once, i took you to the Tate where there was a piece of rope exhibited on the ground, as part of a Dadaism contemporary art show. You said so loudly, “What is this?! I also can do!” not believing it was art, and proceeded to nudge it with your foot much to my horror. 😂
You had ailments towards the end of your life, like walking difficulties and Alzheimer’s, but they could stimes magically disappear. Like when you jumped out of the car in Seremban without your wheelchair when you wanted to eat hakka mee, and gave everyone a heart attack. 🍜 All your 3 children were shouting cos they thought you fell out, but you were already zooming towards the restaurant 🏃🏻♀️😂
So many funny moments with you.
Grateful for them.

- This grand plan to give $ to the people from their own EPF / retirement fund… Daymn, what happened to all that 1MDB mahnay?
- Business-owners being slapped with RM10k fines for tiny misdemeanours of them trying to run business past a certain hour / langgar SOP lain. Dahlah struggling to stay afloat… how pitiful for them!
- That amayzing RM75mil app which we all know coulda cost less than 10% of that
- While the attention is on trying to save the economy, unscrupulous actions in raping our country of its remaining natural resources (and animal poaching!) goes on in the bg💔
The worst is yet to come with the new variants which are more aggressive and subtle, while our hospitals are already packed to the brim.
There is so much to think of and worry about. So many communities with no support or rights - orang asli, foreign workers, refugees, etc.
There is so much potential in younger, smarter, HONEST and more compassionate leaders who can take our country forward.
I have hope.
