I’m a concealer hoarder. I own a drawer full of concealers which are nowhere near finishing yet I still buy more of them. I hate to admit it but I have yet to find my holy grail concealer.
Too Faced recently launched a collection of neatly packaged concealers, with 10 different shades to choose from, making it easy to find the perfect shade to suit your skin tone.
“Too Faced is a serious makeup brand that knows how to have fun. With an joyful approach to everything they do, Too Faced uses the finest, cutting-edge ingredients to create innovative cruelty-free colour cosmetics that women love to wear.”
The Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant concealer claims to instantly hide perfections, make the appearance of dark circles vanish, and blur out the lines and wrinkles from our face. Infused with skincare benefits like Coconut Water to replenish moisture levels, Alpine Rose to brighten and boost radiance, and Hyaluronic Acid for a smoother and youthful appearance; the new concealers not only cover your imperfections but also help to keep your skin moisturized!
I’m really digging the coconut packaging! It gives off a summer vibe ???
Swatches from left – right: Deep, Dark, Deep Tan, Tan, Medium Tan, Medium, Light Medium, Light, Fair, Very Fair
[Note: All shades above available in Sephora SEA except Deep, Dark, Deep Tan, and Tan]
Joyce suggested that we each bring a concealer home to test them out since all 3 of us have different skin tones.
King/Faridah: But someone has to show me how to use this thing first.
*proceeds to show her how it’s done*
Joyce on using Medium Tan: I think you’re supposed to dot the concealer in a straight line for pic purposes when doing make up tutorials, but i’m a get-ready-in-5-mins kinda girl. I was REALLY getting ready for an event and found that the best time to test the Born This Way concealer for real! I found the texture to be more moisturizing than other concealers i’m accustomed to, it’s almost like putting on liquid foundation but one that’s creamier and dare i say, lighter. Easy to blend.
Joyce and I attended Jaeger-LeCoultre‘s event to celebrate the 85th Anniversary of the Reverso. Hosted at a lavish space on Jalan Conlay, it was an intimate afternoon soiree where everyone was handsomely dressed up. Paired with a constant flow of champagne and splendid canapés from Nathalie’s Gourmet Studio, we felt like tai tais for a day.
Jaeger-LeCoultre is based in a little town called La Sentier, right beside Geneva in Switzerland. The luxury Swiss watch manufacturer is the only one in the world who designed a wrist timepiece that can be reversed, the Reverso. Inspired by a group of British army officers who challenged Jacques-David LeCoultre to design a watch able to withstand their games of polo, the Reverso’s face dial flips over allowing the watch to withstand all blows while losing nothing of its elegance. Since then, the iconic Reverso has been a statement piece of being different.
Everyone present at the press presentation was shown the video below, exemplifying the detail and passion that goes into the process of every single component that comes together to create a Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece.

Ahhh, Urban Decay. What can I say, I’ve long been a fan of this cult make-up brand ever since I was in high school. If you grew up in the 90s, you would know that Urban Decay was the holy grail of makeup to teenagers in that era. We all read the same magazine – Seventeen, Teen Beat, Tiger Beat, YM (to prep the girls for Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Cosmopolitan later on) and in all these magazines, Urban Decay would be featured somewhere and we all wanted it… BAD!
It was also the time when glitter eyeshadow, hair mascara and silver lipstick was ALL the rage! We also convinced ourselves that black/brown eyeliners were boooring and we wanted something different; glitter eyeliner, body glitter, glitter hair gel…. because Y2K! So looking like a walking disco ball on crack was the way to go and how we killed it back then! I remember going to rave parties when I was 16 covered in glitter from head to toe! Part of my trusted arsenal was Urban Decay’s Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner (to the slightly older demography: REMEMBER THOSE??!!). I had it in every colour! And boy, did it deliver! It stayed on until after the raves (through molly & sweat haha).
When Joyce told me to go to the Urban Decay Vice Afterdark event, I said… HELLZ YEAH, HOMMIE! I picked up my phone and hotline bling-ed my date Sandra Woo and off we went to Uppercase at APW, Bangsar to celebrate the launch of 100 Vice Lipsticks! That’s right, their ENTIRE lipstick collection, every last one of them, is now Vice (that’s what the inclusive collection is now called) where all of the existing lipstick shades (discontinued ones, some limited-edition selects, and some fresh new ones) are repackaged, reformulated and reintroduced to the world!
Tadaaaaa… These are not even half of it, guys.
The proprietary Pigment Infusion System™ creates the formula, its super creamy texture and superior colour dispersion; butter blend for moisture; and softness thanks to aloe vera, avocado, jojoba and babbasu oils. The shades span the spectrum of finishes: Mega Matte, Comfort Matte, Cream, Metalized, Sheer and Sheer Shimmer.
The packaging fits perfectly with UD’s “beauty with an edge” dogma, and more. The casing stays true to it’s OG packaging – the shotgun shell – but tweaked with a faceted gunmetal case, and a gold base featuring an embossed UD logo. Shade-matched labels make it easy to find in your bag/pocket/jacket for a quick lip fix.
There are 100 shades to choose from. Not close to, almost, or approximately: There are 100 lipstick colours launching at the same time. The choices here are UNHEARD of. I spent about 15 minutes just standing there swapping shades on my arms before deciding which to try on – Pandemonium, Moshpit, Jilted, Mrs. Mia Wallace, Backtalk, Shame, Disturbed, Heroine, Blackmail…

Joyce:
This is a major throwback post to one of the projects KinkyBlueFairy did with Asia’s biggest cruise festival at sea – It’s The Ship! KBF went on as a team of a dozen ppl to decorate particular rooms, dispense floats at the pool daily (they kept disappearing cos people loved them too much), sell merchandise and… party!
The 4D/3N party cruise sailed from Singapore to Langkawi before docking at Singapore again on the last day.
I flew in to Singapore with Jun so we could get started on decorating the rooms of influencers from Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, and Bangkok.
Waiting at the cruise centre with the Livescape team
We commissioned Adrien Kent to draw caricatures of the KOLs to give as a token, along with lots of complimentary festival goodies to keep them going throughout!
There was a little drama getting access to each of the influencer’s rooms so Jun and i were running up and down the corridors, looking around in case they were already on board to check in, and decorating feverishly without talking. It was like Amazing Race but to decorate -_- We did each room up in about 10 minutes flat and high-fived after we were done.
Yes, you read right, KinkyBlueFairy is having a massive sale that’s happening RIGHT NOW!
“Just how massive is it?”
“Is it really THAT great?”
Well, let me take you through it;
Our magical Gymnast Ribbons that were RM20 are now RM10!
Now, why would you need gymnast ribbons? To be that much closer to achieving your dreams of becoming a fairy (our #FairyBoss completely approves of this)/pixie/unicorn/Disney princess/etc…or perhaps you ARE a gymnast.
Also, with Good Vibes Festival around the corner, spread some joy and get your favourite artist’s attention by waving these colourful ribbons.
Maybe some of you can’t make it to Good Vibes but hey, you could always throw a party! And at parties, you always need decorations. At the KinkyBlueFairy store, we have garlands aplenty in every colour combination you could possibly imagine (well, almost) going at only RM25!!! It’s a real steal if you ask me.
You could use them for birthday parties, tea parties, bridal showers, baby showers, during Hari Raya, Deepavali, Christmas, Hannukah, Chinese New Year, literally any occasion which really makes this an investment piece.
Our pool floats that made their debut at It’s The Ship this year are on sale too – hunks not included.
These cuties will spice up your pool party and your Instagram feed. My personal favourite is the pretzel. Mostly cause I love bread and it fits up to three people comfortably.
You donut want to miss out on this chance to get a pizza… see what I did there?
Tip #1: if you get 8 pizza floats, you can join them up to make a whole pizza!
Tip #2: if you look closely, there are two cup holders on both sides that would fit a nice cold beer perfectly 😉
