KinkyBlueFairy store

Comments (6) Fashion

So i’ve been working towards getting my online store off the ground, and man… it’s taking a lot longer than i THOUGHT! There’re so many things to do when it comes to the physical and digital side of things, while juggling my life and work at the same time.

I admit that i have been stressed out at intervals when things are not going according to plan or schedule, but i’m trying to remain confident in myself and just think “IT’S OKAY! At least i’m doing this!” There are soooo many things i’m learning, including ASKING questions cos i’m such a newbie in running a business. But overall, i’m generally happy and feel great about my decision to extend my blog’s brand to an e-commerce store. What am i doing to sell? Erm, well, ANYTHING that i want to! Since this is my own thing, i can make my own decisions… heehee.

So far, i’ve sourced for the obvious – fashion items. But in time i want to sell things that aren’t related to fashion… like TOYS! And festival gear! We’ll see. I have so many plans and ideas on how to do things, but i have to be patient and take baby steps… cos i’m also lacking resources i.e. finance and manpower. When the time is right and the office space is properly ready, i’ll blog another shoutout to appeal to amazing people who would like to work with me 😀 Especially people who have experience in finance, operations and admin. If you are interested now, email me! > joyce@kinkybluefairy.com

For now, i have all this stock on my hands and no website to sell it off on yet cos ipay88 takes 2-3 months to approve my application. Who knew -_-‘ And i could only apply for it when the website was almost ready cos i had to submit printscreens of the shipping terms and conditions bla bla bla. Plus, they doubled their fee just this month… mere days before my i submitted my application. It’s okay (i keep telling myself that), it is what it is!

I’m going to sell whatever clothes we’ve shot so far (haven’t even shot the hundreds of accessories yet) from Facebook.

Erm the reason i’m my own model is because i’m on budget right now ok :p

You know, as i grew older, i thought i would slow down my partying.
I really thought i would, but as it turns out, it ISN’T HAPPENING.

I HAVE cut down the number of nights i drink in a week, but it seems like the less number of nights i drink happen, the more hardcore i am to stay out  0_o
Also, the more talk of the possibility of having children arises, the MORE I WANT TO GO OUT.
It’s as if i want to party as much as i can before i somehow, cannot, due to new life circumstances.

I can’t help it.
I love drinking.
I am a party animal.
And i am ACCEPTING that i will be a party animal for life.

My problem is i am the type of person who doesn’t want to go home.
There is a fine hazy line between having drinks and then being good and leaving,
and having drinks and going on till 3am or 5am because it’s TOO MUCH FUN to leave, there are so many people to talk to, conversation is fun, and hey, since i’m already here, i might as well continue having fun.

I can think of many accomplices who are similar… which is probably why we’re all a dangerous combination when we meet up  -_-

Since i’m gonna still have fun, at least i can be responsible for my health while doing so!

I have been taking Kamilari – these ayurvedic pills for the liver – for a year now, and something i should have started taking when i was 20! I first found out about the brand thru Deep, who if you don’t know, is such an alco that he’s got a blog called www.thirstyblogger.com. He said his liver tests after taking the pills improved drastically, and because i trust him, i went online and bought 10 boxes at a go :p

You’re supposed to take 2 a day before you eat anything, but because i’m not very rigid with my pill-taking, i usually take them thrice a week, especially before weekends or weddings. And you know what… i’ve been telling SO MANY people about them when i am out, cos i can FEEL the difference. I’ve never taken a liver test in my life (hmmm) but i was getting the occasional tummy upset and the runs (sorry, just had to put it out there) after heavy nights of drinking; and ever since i started taking Kamilari, i’ve NEVER HAD that problem.

I told another alco friend Danny how i take these liver pills, and he said he’s been taking them since his early 20s cos one of his older friends told him to do so. I really really wish someone told me to take these when i first started drinking, so i’m trying to do all of you a favour by telling YOU!

If you drink, i strongly suggest you invest in getting some Kamilari pills. It’s not even that expensive, it’s RM55/box for 60 capsules. One more important aspect i really like about it is that it’s plant-based and therefore natural. There’s a lot more info on its website which you should read so you KNOW what you are taking – www.kamilari.my

The reason i’m writing a full post about Kamilari is because i was introduced to Shailesh from Kamilari (in a bar, no less) and he wanted me to blog about it. He said he’ll sponsor me free boxes of Kamilari, and I said, “Shai, i already bought 10 boxes from you! I don’t need anymore free pills..!”

Since i already have my stash, we came to an agreement that we’ll give free boxes out to… YOU!

I love giving stuff away to my readers, and if you’re a party reader, then well, haha i guess we have an even stronger bond.

Shai and i will be giving away 20 boxes of Kamilari pills to 10x KinkyBlueFairy readers, so that’s 2 boxes per winner. You may even win this for a friend of yours whom you care about and likes to drink! And if you take the pills and find that they’ve worked wonderfully for you (which i know they WILL), please leave a testimonial on Kamilari! They’re a small business so word-of-mouth helps heaps 🙂

To enter, just comment on this post and tell me your craziest party night.
Or if you’re embarrassed, you could tell me about your friend’s craziest party night.
Or if you’re afraid your friends will kill you, give yourself/friend fake names.

Celeste Thoi: Malaysia Wedding Dress Designer

Comments (5) Weddings

I recently met Celeste at KL Fashion Week and despite there being so many people at the after party, we somehow found ourselves seated next to each other and started talking. It wasn’t one of those quick and speedy chats where either person would bound off after a few minutes (that would usually be me) but a lengthy chilled out conversation about her daughters and… life. I only found out at the end that she designs wedding dresses and thought, “Wow! That’s such a different thing to do…”

When Celeste invited me for her weekend fashion show in collaboration with Tiffany & Co. and The Photoz at Le Meridien, i found myself saying i’d go, even tho admittedly, i try to keep weekends specifically for family and friends. I don’t know why… i just like her so much and think she’s such a sweetie. Even after telling the friend that introduced us how nice i think Celeste is, she’d go “Yup! She’s super nice!” And we’d both nod and nod like those bobbing dog toys.

So yeah, i’m glad i went and managed to see her designs for myself — there’s nothing like SEEING a wedding dress sweep down the runway, as i learnt after watching the Vera Wang show in Singapore’s fashion week. All the layers and details are just so much BETTER in person than in picture! Oh well you’ll just have to do with my pictures captured with sports mode for now heh.

blogged about the huge fashion show and launch party Elegantology threw when they launched last June!

Even though it was just a few months ago, Elegantology Gallery & Restaurant just held yet another exclusive event last Thursday where there were aperitifs,
a fashion show featuring new collections from 8 designers,
an elegant 5-course dinner,
and lots of socialising with Martell VSOP from beginning till the end!

If you can recall, Martell recognised and promoted young talent in various industries in Malaysia through its Rising Personality Awards a few years ago.

The necessary things for a day out

Comments (0) Dating

I’m going for Clem’s company’s Family Day tomorrow and i’ve packed a backpack of things to ensure i that i will be entertained (in the absence of running around) at all times.

Got my ipod and x-mini speakers, camera, lip balm, sunblock, hat, fan, gum, mints, bubbles, poi, care bear figurine, enzymes, moisturizer, change of clothes, hand sanitizer, wet wipes, Disney plasters, purse, and rum. Clem does not approve of the latter. He also didn’t approve of my tiny bell.

I rang it and proclaimed, “Ok baby, when i ring this, that means i’m looking for you okay.”
He stared back at me. “No… no you are not bringing that bell…”
“Of course i’d bring it, what if i can’t find you?”
“…Then you stop and ask others if they’ve seen me, like normal people would.”
“Hmm i’m bringing it just in case, you never know.”

Ooh! I just thought of something else to bring! Pom poms! I have a proper set i bought years ago and keep in its own dust bag. I wonder if that will be too much…
