I first met Cassey at the Cuevolution event early this year and am in utmost respect for her art.
She’s definitely one of my favourite Malaysian designers and i find her pieces to unique and wearable.
Wearable in the sense that i can see myself donning it daily for meetings and events.
“The phrase “this too shall pass” originated from writings of medieval Persian Sufi poets indicating that all material conditions, positive or negative, are temporary. SERIES SIX, thus titled, was inspired by the designer’s observation of walls that withstood the test of age and time – culminating in enchanting textures and colours – each with its own temporal story to tell.
These age-worn and rustic surfaces were what inspired the designer to experiment with paint to produce her exclusive prints in this collection. Together with its signature geometrical lines and curves, this collection proves to be the label’s most art worthy yet – each design a wearable piece of art!”
Kittie is one of my rainbow darlings cos she’s one of the most colourful people in KL!
I love colourful people! I feel that we’re from the same planet 😀
Her penchant for bright quirky ensembles teamed with her ever-present grin always makes me happy to see her.
“The Kittie Yiyi Spring Summer 2016 collection is inspired by the ever beautiful rainbow and her desire to be a little girl yet she can’t stop growing up!”
She and i are really from the same planet.
I would still tell people i’m eight years old when they ask me how old i am.
Also inspired by elements from the 50’s, Kittie’s models came bouncing out full of energy.
I’ve been for lunch a couple of times with Ellie (the founder and designer for My Apparel Zoo) where she’d tell me how she runs her business, and we’d exchange stories on hustling and people management. Her debut at KL Fashion Week was called “All around the world in prints by Ellie Norman”.
Featuring bold prints and vibrant palettes sourced from Japan and African countries, the collection features simple and versatile silhouettes.

That is so not a great pic of me but anyway.
We’re all wearing pieces from My Apparel Zoo (tho my flared pants are from Love Bonito) and necklaces from Perte
I escaped to Simpli Dry to run away from minor work stress at the office one Monday to get a quick pamper session. It’s been so long since I’ve got my hair or nails done. They usually take so long and I don’t have the time! [Joyce: Why don’t you have the time April? I don’t overwork youuuu]
Simpli Dry is an express beauty bar that does blow dries and mani pedis for women on the go (they even do make up by request!). The best part about this place is that they open at 7.30am. Yes, in the morning. So if you’re worrying about rushing for a 10am meeting, Simpli Dry will get you sorted.
When I arrived, I was immediately greeted by warm smiles. The interior is clean and illuminating with the whites, hints of pink and light shining on all the right places. I love how it’s so simple and sophisticated.
They’ve even got a play area for kids so mothers can take some time off and spoil themselves without having to worry about their children – the staff at Simpli Dry will ensure both you and your child are having a great time. To all mummies out there, you deserve it!!
