This is my favourite movie i’ve watched this year so far!
I really liked District 9,
but i like stories of love + reality, more than aliens,
so 500 Days of Summer wins.
I even went ALL the way to Pyramid to watch it (and i hate Sunway!)
cos it’s the only place in Malaysia showing it -_-
But so worth it.
It’s so realistic and painful.
And i think i tried hard not to tear at parts cos it just touched me deep on emotions i’ve tried to bury.
So irritating but good!
Argh.
So far everyone else i know who’s watched it, loves it too. Arivind even said it’s the best rom com he’s watched since Harry Mets Sally.
And Arivind is a film maker, so he knows what he’s talking about.
Note to those to watch it = Don’t watch it with your partner or someone you used to date!
Or on a date.
May be a bit awkward!

Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians
One thing i’m definitely looking forward to and going for, is Jenhan’s comedy show which he’s been telling me about.
I’ve only recently started attending stand up comedy shows in KL,
and was surprised that i could laugh out loud at some of their jokes!
He’s not paying me to write this ha ha,
I’m doing it cos i have faith in his shows from what i’ve watched so far!
So looking forward to seeing him again!
QueenKanch flew back from Bangkok for a couple of weeks,
and had planned what to wear one week prior to the wedding dinner.
I (as usual) decided 15 minutes before flying out the door.

As Kanch and i walked into the reception area,
i braced myself for stares at my hair. “Okay, so obviously because of my hair, i’m an all-out lesbian, because we’re arriving together, you’re my Indian girlfriend cos i’m not racist,” i whispered to her.

Earlier in the afternoon, Milcah: Is it okay if you go to the wedding dinner with your hair like that? Me: I’ve gone to a wedding bald before. -_- So this is totally fine!

Alet was seated on my left and i had great fun with him next to me.

He found a 4 of hearts on the floor (so random!) and threw it at me

Was great to spend time with TL as well.
Made me realise how i miss having him around from the time we stayed in the same apartment!

Kanch and i couldn’t stop commenting how gorgeous both of you look,
(till Alet was getting quite sick of us i presume!)
and we wish you both a wonderful life together.

I KNOW they’re doing their job, but still!
I passed my Shang parking tic to Kanch, and forgot to take it from her before we split,
and despite me telling the hotel staff that,
they still wouldn’t just let me out of the car park even though it was 4am and TL and me looked damn fucking sober.
Seriously…
I mean, i understand you gt make rules to withhold your system,
but really…
we’re two ppl who are regular patrons of events and weddings at your hotel,
and for ONCE (just ONCE SERIOUSLY!)
you can’t let my damn car out cos my parking ticket is with my friend who’s already 30km away ?
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
That’s why i hate systems sometimes.
It’s not like i don’t want to pay your bloody parking fee,
i am more than willing to PAY it,
i just want to GO HOME.
Walau, TL and i tried damn hard la.
And no luck.
I had to apologise profusely to him for all the trouble thanks to a missing parking ticket.
Isn’t the point of a parking ticket = so you can’t steal a car?
I dunno.
I’m tired.
Pissed.
At home.
Sober.
And WITHOUT MY CAR.
I WANT MY CAR.
At the end of the night (or more like, early morning),
TL sent me home with both us being very optimistic going, “You know… maybe it wasn’t meant to be for you to drive back.” “… you’re totally right. Maybe i wasn’t meant to drive my car home.”
“Yeah, everything happens for a reason!”

Me: Me too. Kanch picking me up to go get my car at The Shang. Ash: Hahaha!
Me: She accidentally took my parking ticket so i couldn’t get out last night *launches into story* Ash: Well, i think if they let you out without having to pay the parking fine it’s kinda weird right. Liddat everyone can say their friend took it home and leave without paying the fine.
Me: That. is. true. I hate your rationality sometimes.
