A few weeks back, AhHoong asked whether anyone was free to teman him down to JB for the Recharge gig.
Seeing i’m free, i said OK!
We left on Friday afternoon, right after an interview Jezmine, Eka and i had with NST
Oh before i go into my post bout Johor,
there was this incident when journalist Syida was asking us about fashion faux pas.
One that i mentioned was Crocs.
She asked why, and i launched into:
– how i think it’s one of the ugliest shoes ever made
– it’s form over function when it comes to crocs
– how it doesn’t flatter any body type in any form whatsoever
– i’d rather eat babies than wear crocs
Ok i didn’t say the last line but you know what i mean la.
Eka joined me on our vehement dislike for Crocs…
at which at the end of it, Syida said, “I have 3 pairs of Crocs.”
*cricket silence*
I turned to Eka and muttered, “We’re going to have the worst write up ever!”
Eep >.<
Anyway, after interview + shoot, i rushed thru Friday prayer traffic,
packed in 7 minutes, and jumped into AhHoong’s Harrier.
ConHan decided to join last minute too.
AhHoong was wearing these pair of shoes called ALIFE “What’s Alife? Never heard of it before… but it must be cool if you’re wearing them “ “Can’t get from here,” he said matter-of-factly
Street label whore
We crashed AhHoong‘s room at Mutiara
and i unbashedly admit that i was excited about having train tracks as our room view “Okay, now we KNOW we’re in Johor!”
Recharge was at a club which name i just cannot remember
But i do remember the name was so jeng it made me laugh :p
I was quite impressed with the crowd tho…
some people were wearing Bass Agents caps and jackets and stuff.
Me: Wahhh… I osowan to make Kinkybluefairy merchandise!
me, Kylie=Trouble emceed the event, AhHoong/DozyDidjital
Have met Kylie=Trouble thru NurMeiLing before,
and must say that after spending the whole night yapping to her,
i easily came up with the name Kylie=Trouble for her.
Cos the woman is trouble. In a good way
(Disclaimer: depends what you see as good)
Kylie=Trouble + Ken
It’s been damn long since i’ve had to layan hard dance…
and although had heaps fun at the event,
must admit that at end of the night i told the boys i couldn’t take it,
and i had to play my happy music back in the hotel room.
Which i did.
Played Submarines, Florence & The Machine, Ting Tings, Temptations,
Amina, Temper Trap and whole bunch of others.
So now you know, after the Bass Agents spin their hard dance,
they kena forced to listen to fairy music HAHA
Next day, i took the guys to Roost Cafe which i’d been to before.
Yay for Google Maps on the Berry.
We’d never have been able to find it that fast otherwise.
During lunch, they asked Harri about all sorts of topics in Finland
Wedding la (cos he’s getting married)
Weather
Underground dance scene
Religion
AhHoong to me: You stopped going to church? What happened? “Barcode happened,” i joked.
+ + + + +
I went to the Blue Cube outlet @ The Curve the other day to activate my xpax line.
So hard to miss, it’s right next to MPH on the 1st floor
Very friendly and efficient Ben who helped me sort everything out.
I can be such a dunce at these things, so i just passed the phone to him and let him do everything.
All i had to do was decide which prepaid package i wanted to go for.
Instead of the RM1 a day package, i opted for RM2.50 a day,
so i can get my push mail as well (which is highly important for me!).
So after some simple calculation, it comes up to roughly RM75 a month,
for unlimited data.
Get your own BlackBerry access at only RM998 when you reload RM50 at any Blue Cube outlets.
No hidden clauses or upfront payments. RM998 is all you need to pay when you reload RM50 to enjoy the offer.

Just 2 weeks ago, I watched Coco Before Chanel,
a movie starring Audrey Tatou that told the story of the painful childhood and the rise of the legendary brand that is Chanel.
Ever since reading about it online, I’ve been waiting for it to hit the dvd stores.
and it was truly an eye-opener for me into the world of Chanel.
Just the name itself brings immediate thoughts of luxury, class and prestige.
Anybody in the world with the slightest interest in fashion knows the name Chanel,
not to mention dozens of others who don’t even have an interest in the fashion powerhouses that exist in the world.
Some may think of the iconic Chanel No. 5 fragrance first
a perfume so iconic its top secret recipe has stayed the same for decades, and a bottle sold every 60 seconds worldwide!
Heck, even *i* had a bottle given to me as a present when i was in my late teens.
Even its bottle design was ahead of its time,
opting for sharp angles when organic art nouveau curves were all the rage then.
Another object strongly tied in with Chanel is the legendary Chanel 2.55 bag –
the 2.55 takes its name from the year of its birth, February 1955.
I swear to God, ever since i’ve been friends with QueenKanch,
i’ve never heard her revere any bag as much as the Chanel 2.55.
She’s done it so frequently with so much vehemence that it’s drilled into my sub-consciousness after 6 years.
“As long as you have your Chanel bag, you don’t need anything else. You can walk out in your pajamas but as long as you have that bag, you’ll look fine,” states Kanch as matter-of-factly as stating the ten commandments. “Oohkay Kanch,” Ashley and i would reply. “I’m telling you okay. When i save my first thousands, i’m buying that Chanel bag.”
Even ClaudiaOnCrack has two which she used to sling to work every day
(except when she was going for a crazy night out “cos i’m so scared i’ll burn it!”)
When i was in Singapore for NIN, Van had this limited edition version of the Chanel 2.55 which i admired on the table.
Of course, i was even kinda scared to touch it cos it’s worth half my car of something like that.
For most of us, a Chanel bag is out of reach due to its extravagant price range.
With bags going for at least RM3,000 each; some resort to buying fakes (which i abhore)
If you can’t afford it, don’t pretend to be able to.
I think the satisfaction of owning a Chanel item comes with the knowledge that its genuine and you sacrificed for it!
For those of you who can’t wait, you don’t have to DIY your own Chanel bag like so:
(This was circulating the fashion blogosphere for awhile a few months ago :D)
Just recently, Chanel released its Coco Cocoon collection –
a more affordable range of Chanel bags and accessories.
With a campaign fronted by super popstar Lily Allen (i heart her!),
the Coco Cocoon line is shown exuding chic practicality at a price that doesn’t tear our heart (and wallets).
Here, Lily carries a Coco Cocoon bowling bag in leather,
while wearing a suit in tweeded gauze with matching cuffs in off-white chiffon from Chanel FW 09/10
Coco Cocoon tote bag in nylon + Coco Cocoon bowling bag in nylon
This is my favourite of the lot – the Coco Cocoon bowling bag in quilted leather.
Karl Lagerfeld has designed several different sizes and models,
and the result is a modern bag that is perfect for urban use or even when traveling.
With the lightweight shopping bag – be it in the mini or maxi version, the bowling bag or trolley bag –
there is a Coco Cocoon bag for every occasion and lifestyle.
Mademoiselle Chanel declared that, “True luxury is when something is beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.”
In honour of her statement, some of the Coco Cocoon models are reversible.
When turned inside out, the bags reveal the characteristic Chanel quilting.
Its iconic double C logo is engraved on leather in matching tones,
and keeps a low profile nestling under the zip of the front pocket.
The Coco Cocoon line has been designed in the pure tradition of Chanel luxury,
with flat pockets, practical fastenings and clever details in elegant craftsmanship.
Now available in Chanel boutiques,
the bags are available in black, beige, chocolate, burgundy, taupe, blue, grey, gold and red;
in nylon or washed lambskin.
Cos not only do i end up wasting time,
being late,
and getting frustrated,
i also end up looking like your typical female who loses her way…
which i hate!
One of the first programs i dl-ed into my BlackBerry Curve was Google Maps,
and i was (being the jakun i am with new things) amazed at how precise it could be with directions!
When i first got it dl-ed,
i tried it out at a cafe while waiting for someone.
It give me distance, estimated time to reach,
and directions!
Besides driving directions, it gives directions for pedestrians too
I didn’t try it in KL (cos not like ppl actually walk here)
but i did try it in Bali,
while RowdyRudy and i were walking a short distance from where we stayed in Kuta to Jalan Benesari.
(Too bad i didn’t take a picture of it but anyway)
I showed Rudy the map and where we should walk, along with blinking spot showing our exact location.
“Wow. That IS cool!” Me:
And that.
Is how i shall never get lost again.

I guess partying for 4 nights in a row really got to me!
My throat started hurting when i went to sleep last night,
and by noon today,
i spoke like a full-blown man.
I had 3 meetings lined up back-to-back this afternoon,
but rescheduled them all.
No choice la.
I can’t even talk to myself without hurting,
let alone talk to people.
Been camping out with all my medication next to me,
lots of water,
and geeking out on the first season of Fringe.
I’m loving it so far!
Didn’t get recommended it by friends,
I’s just browsing in the dvd store one day,
read the synopsis that it’s about paranormal activity,
and my old attraction to subjects that walk just outside the border of science reignited.
I think if you liked the X-Files in the early 90s,
you should give this a shot.
Warning: It’s continuous so you don’t wanna stop watching.
Oh, and did i mention i love having lots of pei cough mixture given to me?
I’m seeing the doctor again on Thursday reg. the skin condition on my arm.
I wonder whether he’d be suspicious if i asked for another bottle >.<
“Have you been resting well since you stopped work?” “No… i’ve been partying non-stop!”
Now when i have time to party…
i just realised i DO still have the energy to go at it!
Previously, it’s because of all the long hours that i always got too tired to go out ha ha!
Went for the Rootz launch last night,
a new club on the rooftop of Lot 10 by YTL Corp

No more pictures cos the rest are too incriminating
3:30am, i found myself in a bar on Changkat BB
as if immersed in another world,
someplace far from KL!
I think i was the only local there…
everyone else was from Africa, France, UK…
And they all expressed surprise that i was from KL
I had a beer, and some African dude asked for my number.
I didn’t mind giving it, but said, “You can call me to hang out, but not for sex.”
And someone started laughing at me.
