My article wrapping up some of the happenings at Fashion Week came out yesterday.

If i were able to view the draft before print,
i would have made sure Alexander Wang and Thakoon’s names weren’t swapped with the pictures   :xwhatevah:

Also, if i had a say in the choice of pictures,
i would have picked another look from Proenza Schouler’s collection to depict their awesomeness.
The designer duo took a trip to Santa Fe,
and were so inspired by Native American blankets that they eagerly took to their computers to design prints of their own.
But not before exploding and pixelating the designs to produce what were their final breathtaking prints.

Below are some of my favourite looks.

Bali: SOS Anantara

Comments (0) Bali, Travel

After traveling to Amsterdam, the Isle of Wight fest,
and cruising from St Tropez to Rome together last year;
i was adamant Yishyene and i had to go to Bali when she was next in S.E.A.

We had our lil trip last week!

Upon landing in the afternoon,
we went searching for nasi padang
before heading to Seminyak to watch the sunset.

Yishyene got randomly shat on by a bird in a tree on Seminyak.
Luckily for her, quick me thought of taking a picture (to record the moment forever) before handing her wet wipes   :xlaughing:

I Love TV

Comments (2) Sponsored Post

I try not to watch too much TV.
Some people say that the most depressed people are the ones who watch TV
and don’t end up getting out there and actually having a life.
Instead, they live others’ through TV.

I think TV is AWESOME in regulated doses.

When i travel, i love having FTV in the background in the hotel room
(especially when i’m traveling alone).
I prefer having some noise (ok so i’m a scaredy cat),
and FTV merges an eclectic range of recent music + runway shots
and models saying heavily-accented things i don’t (need to) understand.

Plus there is no plot to follow and you can glance up whenever a design interests you

I Love FTV!

Another show some people recommended me on Twitter is The Big Bang Theory.
It’s a comedy with jokes revolving around the universe and science.
Very geeky, but it’s brill!
At least their jokes make sense and you learn the most random pieces of info from watching it.

You can watch some episodes *here*
but you know how megavideo only allows you to watch 70 mins at a time unless you pay for a subscription.

Something else i just started having an interest in are…
food channels!

Seeing i just started cooking regularly,
not only has my appreciation for food escalated,
but my passion for preparing it
and learning from TV has as well!

I was writing about what i love watching,
to prepare you for a new type of TV that’s available to us!

Imagine having all your favourite channels being with you anywhere
as long as you have your laptop and an internet connection.

fine tv

Say hello to Fine TV!

Once you register with Fine TV,
an Access Key Gadget is send to you within 7 working days.

Pop the Access Key Gadget into your USB port,
it auto-runs immediately

and wala,
you immediately have access to
42 Live TV channels
10 VOD channels
Netcom (for vid conferencing on TV) and
Helo Tune (interactive internet radio channels)

You can even watch the channels while surfing other things,
or on your television set by connecting an HDMI cable from your pc/laptop to TV.

It’s like having cable without having to install a satellite dish,
nor drill your walls (especially if you’re renting!)

You get movies and TV programmes
which you can watch as and WHEN you want.
There is no schedule.
So YOU pause, rewind, forward, whatever   :xpleased:

I think this would be great for students or people who are renting
cos they can take their ‘TV’ wherever they go
without having to worry about costly installation fees.

Fine TV works on a reload basis
so you just top up the payment required as you’re using it.
Plus of course, all the bills can be paid online via their website.

And now the big question…
how much does it cost??

Right now Fine TV has various subscription fees,
and are asking people to recommend their fees preference.

Isn’t that crazy…
i feel like it’s another level of bargaining,
cos the consumer gets to bargain!

Villa Samadhi for Valentine’s Day

Comments (4) KL, Malaysia, Travel

We took advantage of V Day as an excuse to stay in a nice place.
It’s so addictive… once we find all these places that seem out of the city,
we can’t stop taking mini-trips to them!

At barely a month old,
Villa Samadhi is situated bang in the middle of the city,
on Jalan Madge off Jalan Ampang.

Construction is still going on in some parts of the villa,
with the main areas finished.

I love it when it’s so new and there’s noone using the whole pool but US.

We stayed in a Luxe Crib with plunge pool   :xlaughing:

The room is massive…
Massive enough to dance around like a crazy person.
I know. I tried.

Rain shower is also one of the biggest i’ve showered in,
it could fit four ppl comfortably in there!

I also love the concept of two sinks.
“See, if we have two sinks then we can brush our teeth together!” i grinned at Clem with a mouth full of toothpaste.

There’s a jacuzzi which leads out the window into the balcony area.

It stormed in the afternoon,
and we love watching storms.
So we huddled like two birds to watch the big plops of water.

Breakfast was provided the next morning…

We had such a nice private lil break there…
and it felt so weird to be lounging around the pool in full holiday mode one minute,
and driving out of KL traffic back home the next.

Almost like we imagined going there.

We got cheap rates from Agoda, seeing the place is so new and all.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

Comments (2) Fairy Love

I was super semangat to make a Valentine’s Day card
and called ClaudiaOnCrack cos i knew she’d be happy-squealy to make one too.
Went to the crafts shop and bought paper and ribbons.
I already had everything else like paint, glue, extra papers, etc.

valentine's card

Claudia made me buy her a bottle of Heineken and bright green paper.
I didn’t question her alternative choices and just got them.

Who makes Valentine’s Day cards out of green stuff?
Claudia… Only Claudia.

valentine's card

In the end i made a card so ugly i had to question where my card-making skills have evaporated to.
I swear… my cards from school days are legendary.
People still remind and show me till this day – a card i made them from 10 years ago.

And now… it’s so ugly i’m not even gonna post it here…
and Claudia’s bf laughed at it.   :xwhatevah:

For the first time in my life i’m celebrating Valentine’s Day.
But don’t worry, i’m not gonna do all the things i used to abhore,
like couples being all cuddly wuddly in public.
We’re gonna be staying in for that kind of stuff.
Staying in a nice place, that is.   :xlaughing:
