I was sitting at my laptop blogging,
when Clem burst out of the bedroom,
holding a top of mine in his hand.
“Ok you won.” Said he. “I won what?” I was confuzzled. “I was trying to see how long this top could stay on the floor without me picking it up. But i cannot take it anymore. So you win.”
I BURST out laughing.
At him and his little game that i didn’t know about.
I try my best not to be messy in our apartment!
And this top… was somewhere between the wall and *my* side of the bed,
which is probably why my conscious felt no guilt at leaving it there.
asymmetrical drape dress; … forgot! (ok it’s come to a point i don’t remember where certain clothes are from)

I watched the interview vid Deb did for the Miss Universe 2011 pageant

There’s been a lot of BUZZ surrounding the Volkswagen Das Auto Show in Malaysia!
I’m not surprised though.
With the event specially set up in a massive white dome + white tents outside Stadium Bukit Jalil,
it’s undeniably a unique and dynamic show that doesn’t come to KL often!
I was fortunate enough to be invited to the media + VIP event last Thursday morning.
Unsurprisingly, i got lost and took 90 minutes to get to the stadium
But luckily was still in time for the big show that i didn’t know was to take place!
Packed with people early in the morning!
Yay for yummy juices and breakfast canapes being served!
I couldn’t resist the strawberry yoghurt.
Healthy, tasty, fills a bit of tummy, and easy to eat while chatting to people.
Events should serve yoghurt more often…
Pottered around to see Volkswagen paraphernalia
and a row of interactive racing games (with Volkswagen cars of course!)
I’m sure any man who gets to play racing games on a workday morning feels really happy.
Look at their smiles!
Except for this guy playing.
Think he’s stressed from concentration.
Volkswagen Marketing Director (Malaysia) Petra Schreiber talked about the Volkswagen brand,
how it’s been increasing in sales in Malaysia over the past year
and how specific models will be assembled locally from now on.
Then all was quiet as we waited to view the cars…
Music played, and all these 3D visuals were projected 360 degrees on the inside of the dome!
It started with giant pixels falling from the top to form different cities and landscapes,
and the images would rotate while the actual cars drove out on a round platform encircling the dome.
It was brilliant and so so wonderful to watch.
Luckily for my talent at handling my phone and camera simultaneously,
i took pictures AND videos of it going on!
Watch the vid below to see what i mean about the pixels falling into place!
Every time a new model was introduced, it’d drive around the dome before parking in front for all to see on a lower platform.
Then it’d drive easily out the side door before more models came gliding in the dome.
Ahhh it was certainly a well-executed presentation!
Volkswagen had different members from their team expand on the unique information and story behind each car,
so it was a lot more personal than just talking about the vehicle.
After all the models had been introduced (pix added below of all models shown, don’t worry!), ALL the cars appeared on the platform one by one, till we were surrounded by a complete ring of Volkswagen cars driving around us with visuals rushing past.
Watch the vid below!
And last of all… the Volkswagen model to finish off the car exhibition with a bang,
nothing less than the NEW Volkswagen 21st Century Beetle!
It’s the red one la (duh) and a bit blocked… for now.
I thought it’d just be all cars, but a children’s choir suddenly appeared
to back up our finest Malaysian rock star Ella!!!
Ellaaaaaaa *kowtow*
BEHOLD the new Beetle!
Sleek, sexy… if it could talk i gather it’d be my best friend.
LOVEEEEEEEEEEEE
After schmoozing over the 21st Century Beetle, we walked through a tunnel into *another* massive tent that held all the Volkswagen models for us to drool at up close and sit in for ‘the feel’.
VW girls walked around getting pix of us to upload to the Das Auto website.
OK. After the Beetle, this is my 2nd favourite VW car – the Eos!
They demonstrated how with a mere click of a button,
the boot opens up, the roof folds in, and everything shuts itself neatly.
Freaking awesome you just gotta SEE it for yourself.
I was too slow in getting a video.
Didn’t think it’d be that impressive!!!
Pricetag = RM250,000
‘
SUH-WEET
Don’t i look like i just BELONG in it?!
Took really long getting out… just wanted to continue sitting in it!
My 3rd favourite (yeah i’m playing the WHAT IF I COULD CHOOSE A VW CAR game) is the Golf GTI.
I think i’m fond of it just because KelvinTSD took me and my little pony for an eventful drive in it back in 2005. [i just read my old post on VW. Excuse all my cursing… walau >.< i’m more of a lady now! teehee]
We were whizzing down the Penchala Link at 200kmph :p
and i LOVED it. I love speed (hope no policeman reads this)
Ah Golf GTI… at one point BigBen was also convincing me to buy it,
calculating how much it’d cost me per month.
There are so many Golf GTI lovers that they’ve spread it to me too!
I like the Scirocco R too… but can’t keep my eyes off the aforementioned models to linger much on this one.
