A bit more KinkyBlueFairy in your life :D

Comments (3) Fashion

I’m going to be launching an extension of the KinkyBlueFairy brand… into an online shop!
Okay, it’s not like this is surprising. Many friends have asked, “Why didn’t you do this before??”

The truth is, i didn’t want to, or i wasn’t ready.
I said things like, “Oh, i didn’t have time,” “Oh, i didn’t have enough money.”
When i sat down and really thought about what i did with all my time and money, i remembered how much i was ENJOYING MYSELF.

I will never get my twenties back again, but by damn, i can say i did my 20s good!
I used all my money to travel as much as i could afford to,
worked my ass off to earn more money,
and now that i’m not as keen to spend so much time away from home (i.e. Clem) for long periods anymore… i felt this was the right direction for me to take!

Besides… i’m so good at shopping, i can do it for hours and days on end,
i’ve spent so much money on shopping (i don’t even want to think how much that comes up to, once i started counting the worth of a stack of clothes for fun, got scared and stopped) that i’m pretty sure it makes me an expert in shopping.
I’ve learnt how to edit out items that are less special, and continue collecting special pieces.
Things that are mostly filled with lots of colour and pattern,
pieces with cuts that are flattering on the body,
random unique things i find by accident…

Essentially, the online boutique will be selling whatever tickles my fancy and things i actually like and will wear.
You may see other online shops selling a similar item or two (some of the same sources are unavoidable for now), but i’d like to say that we CURATE these things for whom i’d like to describe a FUN COLOURFUL STYLISH PERSON.

Well, we’ll see.

Who knows, maybe in the future i’ll end up selling furniture or food instead.

For now, the website isn’t ready yet, so i’ve posted the first batch of our stock unto Facebook.

WIN a bikini or fitness apparel from Liquido!

Comments (2) Fashion

Liquido is a Brazilian swimwear and fitness apparel brand that has been brought to our shores by Nadia, a Malaysian girl who’s been living in São Paulo for a few years. She’s recently relocated back to Malaysia, bringing her favourite Brazilian brand with her.

Nadia first emailed me a couple of months ago, and since i’m such a beach bunny, i thought it would be fun to try this bikini brand she’s so keen about… and you know what… i’m actually REALLY excited about giving some away on my blog!!!

I’ve been raving about how freaking comfortable it is to any of my girl friends who’ve been asking me where to buy nice bikinis since!

1) the BACK of the bikini bottom isn’t as skimpy as other brands i’ve worn (or more likely… NOT worn, cos i can’t bring myself to wear something that represents a thong on Asian beaches).

2) The material of the Liquido pieces are all soft, stretchy and comfortable. You just have to touch it and you can tell immediately. I also appreciated the small metal detailing on the straps’ design.

3) Cut and style is crucial when it comes to bikinis cos there’s not much it can hide! The bikini i chose has a slight diagonal cut on its bottom front, which somehow hid my tiny belly flop nicely (i’m sorry, i’m not giving up all the food and alcohol i heart to have a six-pack).

(erhhh i look a bit out of shape here cos i just got back from three weeks of constant eating in London)

Besides the bikini, i also picked out a sports bra and pants for when i go for powerplate.

I was just talking about another brand’s sports bra with a girl friend and we both agreed how DIFFICULT it is to wrestle ourselves out of it sometimes. Why do they make it so tough!? I feel like i’m getting out of couture with my other sports bras.

The first time i wore the Liquido sports bra, i was like, “CRAP. Now i feel like buying MORE OF THEM.”

It’s CRAZY COMFORTABLE. I couldn’t agree any more when i saw this line about the brand’s mission “to offer a variety of products made with top quality, technology and comfort.” Despite my risking choosing a white one, it wasn’t transparent in any way either phew.

Both the sports bra and pants are from Liquido

Melium’s Night Out @ KLFW

written by SweetEe *

I had so much fun at Melium’s Night Out last week that I was so hesitant to leave the after-party even though my friends were waiting for me somewhere else! When I saw the email to attend the event on behalf of Joyce, I was so excited that I thought i’d get a complaint from the neighbors for my loud screaming.

Melium Group is known for bringing in a range of international brands such as YSL, Emilio Pucci, Hugo Boss and so on. Founded by Datuk Farah Khan, the group has been conquering the market of high end fashion in Malaysia for more than a decade.

As expected, the whole place was packed. Everyone was all dolled up according to that night’s dress code: Melium. The show started with outfits from Emilio Pucci, Roland Mouret, Givenchy, Saint Laurent, and Victoria Beckham, before ending with Farah Khan.

This is CKay who styled my hair splendidly.
The cut and colour were done by Alex and Teng respectively at The Met.

I can’t wait to see the pictures of the shoot when they’re out! Think it’ll be kick ass!

Right after the shoot, i went to Publika where i emceed the launch of Shiseido‘s latest skincare range. It will be available for sale in September so you’ll just have to read about it then!
