My mind had been shuffling between my birthday and my crazy load of college work. I feel so extremely fortunate to have a number of people try (very successfully) to make my birthday as joyful as possible… and for that… i’m impossibly speechless. And if you know me – i can say aloT so ‘Joyce speechless’ is something! I spent most of my birthday at home doing work… *shock* haha… Had a drink with Afzan before seeing Aishah and my lecturer Joseph in 3nity for my critique session. I was kinda afraid cos Joseph didn’t seem in a good mood and blared everybody’s work one by one *heartbeatfaster* but i got thru alive heh.
Mary, Ashley and i had a girlie’s night out in Delawi. I couldn’t have thought of two other people i would rather have spent the night bitching and laughing with till we were tired out and dying to go home!
At first, we sat outside thinking that it was less noisy and we could talk more. No. There was this street concert being held (on a Wednesday night?!) on Telawi street. I think they expected the street to be filled with people seeing how they closed the road. No. The road was filled by a tenth. At one point, some performer shouted enthusiastically, “Make some NOISE!!!” No. There was no noise. Ashley burst out laughing.
I was supposed to go for a pre-birthday dinner with Aaron last night. He insisted on blindfolding me and took me for a long car ride. Than, i had to walk in my best heels while blindfolded through grass, a stonepath and those car park ramps with lines debossed in the cement. I was bitching actually tee hee.
When i took off the blindfold, I was in Gen’s apartment with a whole group of friends yelling ‘surpRISE!’
I was overwhelmed. Truly shocked. Totally overjoyed.
I wasn’t crying, it was the blindfold irritating my eyes goddammit!

I am so AMAZED this was planned among my close friends (who don’t see each other if not for me) and the best part was, Mary super bluffed me on this one! She said she’s going to Hong Kong bla bla bla and ‘sorry i won’t be there for your birthday’ bla bla bla… ARGH!

I was so super stressed out at one point i almost broke into tears. *pant*
But it’s all good now… sorted out some job stuff i was dreading, some deadline stuff that put my heart into overdrive and i made another work schedule so i can be more focused.
