I just watched Charlie And The Chocolate Factory  last Friday

After reading the book more then five times as a child

I guess it was only to be expected that I got awfully disappointed by the movie

Compared to Roald Dahl’s other books-cum-movies

Now *those* were awfully good

Stupid Johnny Deppy Wonka wasn’t how it was MEANT to be in the book!

He’s supposed to be whacky and fun and eccentric and weird

In the new movie, he’s just weird

Like sarcastic Michael Jackson weird

I didn’t mind the sarcasm, it’s funny

I do like MJ okay. But not his appearance la
 

But holy crap I knew the movie was going to be longgg

When they took so damn long to GET INTO THE FACTORY

And DAWDLED around *yawn*

I understand Tim Burton changes parts of it to accomodate today’s audiences…
But freaky Oompa Loompa Lookalikes in rubber spacesuits?!
Who growl songs out till the awesome lyrics are barely audible?!?!

AdamPeterPan saw my disappointment and the sweetheart bought me the olde Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory  dvd to watch

I’ve never watched it before and so far, I LOVE IT

When The Shit Hits The Fan

So it has come to this
By this, i mean a certain someone saying that i’ve changed lately

And it really hurts coming from someone that i love dearly but have been taking for granted

She said that this whole stupid blog has something to do with it as well
My incessant partying but forgetting her
How we rarely meet up to spend time properly anymore

My worst fear is changing into something that i don’t want to be and yet not realise it
So to avoid that as much as possible, i’m going to read back on my old writing and try to recall the person i used to be without all this hyped up bullshit and spend more time with the people that mean most to me

Let’s start with earlier in the night –

AdamPeterPan and i had time to kill in KL last night
Being in KL Hilton again and not being able to resist
He had creme brulee and coffee
And the fairy had wine

Then we met up with my cousin JingHua and her gaggle of 8 friends in Uptown
Her TomYamSoup smelt so good
So i ordered some too

Adam, of course, didn’t touch any

And dragged her to Bliss Boys nite

god.

I’ve never had so many strangers rub their sweaty half-naked bodies all over my arms before
It was damn stress getting from the entrance to the bar and i kept on squealing inwardly everytime some hunky (unfortunately gay) dude rubbed his dripping skin on my arm

After a while i gave up flinching cos i would look like i’m convulsing the whole time if so

It was damn crowded
The music was great
Adam was being a pest and clinging to me so that noone would pinch his ass
I got pinched on the leg by a gay  (so that’s okay)
But he was keen on introducing me to his two lesbian friends who looked like they work in a fish market
Being polite, I did smile quickly but even so they didn’t smile much
So they looked as if they *did* have a chopper for fish and fairies behind their back

Ooer.

I faked being absorbed with my cousin, clung to her and ran off
(oh at that time poor Adam got lost in the sea of bliss boys)

PassedOutBen was hiding somewhere

But you know what, it was really fun…
Met alot of interesting people
I wanna go back again

With my cousin and our gay friends.

We’ll leave the scaredy straights at home.

The Tragedy

Sunday afternoon i went for wine and food at Marche @ The Curve with AdamPeterPan, HotJason and LilySiren.

LilySiren accidentally let out it was her birthday the day before.

Big mistake, Lily.
Big, big mistake.

Despite protesting that she had a dinner date and an assignment due the next day.

HotJason and AdamPeterPan cajoled and cajoled and cajoled her till she caved in.
I tried stopping them for pity’s sake.

“Eh… stop hassling her la! She has to do her work okay!”
“Joyce, sit back and shut up! We’re almost there….”

They made her drink wine.
They made her drink two flamings at TGIF.
And a blowjob (the drink, silly)
They got her to stand on the sofa and give a speech.
The staff sung her Happy Birthday.
All before dinnertime.

Last i heard, she had to be driven home in her car and didn’t do her work till 4 am

Then we had to trudge back to the office for half-day work…

Guess who was gloating at me about being able to leave KL & The Haze for breezy Penang and then the very day he goes there….

The haze blows over to Penang instead.
