The Cheesy Movie

HotJason and i wanted to watch Narnia
Fat chance cos we thought we’re such champions we might* be able to get tix 10 minutes before the show… during holiday season

So we ended up watching The Promise

And i got reminded WHY i NEVER watch fantasy chinese movies with weird animation
It was fucking cheesy
There was this scene where the guy is saving the girl, he ties her to a rope and runs off…
And she flies behind him like a kite, while wearing a feathery robe

I went to the bathroom.
I never leave the cinema to go to the bathroom unless i’m dying, super cannot tahan, and might accidentally pee on the seat already
I wanted to leave before the movie ended (which only happened with that 3-part local ghost movie) plus SmallEugene was already in 1U to have drinks with me

“Let’s go…”
“Why?! Something chun might happen!”
“… -_- … what. Chun things have been happening throughout the whole show… can’t get anymore chun already, let’s go!”

URGH.

This was sometime last week, i forgot which day

As usual, it’s always hustle and bustle during Christmas no matter how many times i tell myself to get to doing my stuff earlier
I forced AdamPoserPan to help me wrap pressies cos i was rushing to get changed for dinner

“Help me wrap these presents pleaseeee”
“What? I can’t wrap for nuts!”
“Can’t you see i’m rushing!? Nah, wrapping paper. Tape. Scissors. Faster wrap!”

I chucked PowerpuffGirls Christmas wrapping paper and BuzzLightyear tape at him.

Eh, my BuzzLightyear tape is cool okay.

Smellie seriously wasn’t kidding when he said he can’t wrap for nuts…

Shameless.

I probably have to rewrap them myself.

Slight Culture Shock

I rushed to see ButtercupSharon the other night cos she was flying back to Kuching the next morning
For her, i’d drop everything else and layan her
🙂

I went to Green Lotus (behind Lot 10) first for dinner with her sisters joining the rest of us
I still had some phlegm (gawd i love that word!) so my green curry just made me cough more
Michelle got so grossed out with my phlegm stories and looked down at her food in slight disdain after that, oops :p

We didn’t want to have a late night (fuddy-duddies who work tend to place alot of importance on sleep) so we pottered off to Carnegie’s at about 10pm

I was getting total culture shock there because there were so many hefty middle-aged women dancing skankily atop the relatively high bar
There were mostly two types of women there:
– the older white kwailos
– SPGs
Of course, where the white men will be, the SPGs will go

Eh fuck, i’m not saying *we* fell in that category tho!

No no no no no, nuh-uh, we just grabbed our drinks and hung out upstairs away from the horrible sight of fat jiggling
Damn scary

I mean, okay la, i think it’s cool that they still know how to party hard when they’re old(er)
But you know how sometimes when you see people partying gila and you think tiredly to yourself, “I’m too old for this…”?
I found myself gaping at the old(er) ladies shaking their thang on the bar, thinking
“I’m too young for this…!”

Christmas Eve was spent having a splendid dinner at AndrewBNBC‘s place with Adam, JingHua, Edward, Mark and the rest of Andrew’s family.

I was tackling my lamb with gusto cos it was damn fuckING nice with the right amount of lamb fat at the side *mMMMMmmm*
Adam chucked me his lamb fat cos he’s damn fussy and also because he can make me fatter and make more fat jokes -_-
Then JingHua pandai-pandai chucked me another helping of lamb (before i had even finished my first) cos she prefered hers more well-done

I almost passed out shoveling everything into my mouth
But the food was seriously awesome, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, pasta, the works
Oh, and lots and lots of sublime wine of course…

I’m so glad we didn’t have turkey
I hate turkey
I hate how turkey is so overrated here
It’s usually dry and i don’t fancy white meat that much
And the only thing that makes it taste nice is all that stuffing and gravy

Edward thought i was joking about going to church later that night but i wasn’t!
I *so* almost fell asleep at mass after that with so much food and wine in my tummy
I wore a flashy silvery top to the dinner, which i cleverly covered up with a huge flowing cardigan at church
Okay la, plus i get to hide my Xmas tummy fat while sitting down during mass and let it all hang out without people seeing har har

“You smell of alcohol,” said RyanSoosayRaj, leaning over to me
“I only had wine…” i whispered back

He noticed me breathing with my mouth closed
“Oi. Breathing with your mouth closed isn’t going to help.”
