Had lunch at Michaelangelo’s at Pavilion last week
Just found out they’ve got this pretty wicked set lunch deal
RM30-something for a:
starter of salad/soup, main of pasta/pizza, dessert of creme brulee/tiramisu, and coffee/soda/beer
I bet i’m missing some choices out but can’t remember
I had beer as my choice of drink.
Obviously.
I look like Annie for a bit.
Ok, chinese Annie la.
*******
Wee Tee and Kim of La Mer kindly invited me + a guest for their event at Space in Bangsar.
My reply to them was: I love La Mer! Of course i’ll go!
My Daddy loves La Mer too.

Went for KrazyKatKyan’s new club opening at Asian Heritage Row after that, called Club 9 & the SIX Lounge.
Damn long la the name.
I was googling ‘club 9 and lounge 6’ and got it wrong :p
Two floors + 3 poles in front of a huge mirror…
Did you put it there for guys you want to see dancing…

I felt i wanted to rest, yet wanted to get fresh air and sun
So i convinced AshleyTheMonkey, RowdyRudy and co. that going for a picnic would be a grand idea!
Nothing involving too much effort,
Just wanted to listen to music
Enjoy each other’s company
Drink beer
Lie on a blanket
Look at the sky
Read a book
Play with my hula hoop
Relax
Simple kinda fun, y’know?
Since i was Picnic Initiator, i had to call and wake everyone up (which was quite tough!!!)
Packed blanket,
picnic basket from D’lish event last time,
charged iPod,
extra batts for iPod speakers (that actually belong to Rudy which i conveniently ‘borrowed’ for months on end),
spinner,
Circle of Peace
All of us staring forlornly at the rain.
FaiTheMai still can maintain macho and fold arms.
In order not to waste the day (plus the effort of waking up early on weekend -_-)
We went to La Bodega in Bangsar
I’m totally addicted to the king prawns in olive oil and garlic now…
Dipping bread in it is DIVINE.
And if that wasn’t enough, i poured all the oil and garlic unto my salad
Rahul macam uncle here + DarlingDhanya just came from a shoot
I went to Bombshell/Show Pink to see whether Ming was free to do my eyebrows
And managed to convince RowdyRudy that he should do the same ‘to open up your face’!
I didn’t know Ming did guys’ eyebrows too
So hard to find a place that does men’s
Going to drag my brother there to do his
Are you reading this, Nick?
You’re so going to end up there okay
Your eyebrows are so Sesame Street, i cannot tahan!
I’ll PAY FOR YOU OK.
Rudy kept on bitching how he’ll look so gay bla bla bla
Oh come on
If you guys can wash your face with cleanser, make sure you don’t have blackheads, and/or dress metrosexual half the time, what’s to stop you from doing your eyebrows?
You know how Threadless works?
Where you can submit designs and best ones win prizes and get made into actual products for sale on the site?
If you don’t know then… damn.
Damn out la you. (Also read: Joyce is lazy to explain)
Foldees works the same way, except it’s with greeting card designs.
They also have a service where they send out cards for you.
Cos admittedly, it’s nice receiving physical cards… but a real bitch sending them out by post ourselves.
So now Foldees can be your bitch to send them out for you.
Anyhoo, they’re having a contest just for Christmas (damn, coming so soon..! Christmas, i mean :p)
Top 10 rated card design winners get to CHOOSE what they want to win, which sounds pretty awesome to me.
Belkin Messenger Bag (15.4″)
iPod Classic 80 GB
iPod Touch 8 GB
iPod Nano 8 GB
LG 22″ WideScreen LCD Monitor
WACOM Bamboo Fun Tablet (6×9)
Canon MPC145 All-in-One Printer
Apple Wired Keyboard & Mighty Mouse
Western Digital 320 GB MyBook
Flash Drive 8 GB
As if a nifty gadget ain’t enough, top 3 designs get cash in USD too.

Canon Goes Green
Canon has taken a pledge that, for every picture of the environment/natural surroundings submitted, a tree will be planted in Padang Kota Damansara, a reserve area in Klang Valley this Sunday 19th October 2008.
An aim of up to 2,500 trees are to be planted, and they’ve received enough pictures already.
I think it’s a beautiful project… have a surf through their website to view the entries or get info on how to attend the tree-planting this Sunday.
I was halfway blogging about this and was searching up a picture in my pc to send when i read that they’ve got enough entries already.
Shite. I shoulda read the email sooner.
Still, a very pretty project and it’s so refreshing to see so many pictures of nature (which i adore!)
There’s gonna be a rave on 20th December at PWTC.
Line up = Erik Nilsson, Scott Alert, Cosmic Gate, Bass Agents and DJ Nikki.
Click on massiveworldwide.com for more info.
I think this is a fantastic effort that a team of PR and Advertising students in Taylor’s College have come together to organize.
*below is pretty much plagiarised from their blog*

“We’re all partying this Sunday right?” reminded RowdyRudy last week. “Huh? What? What’re you talking about?” Me = blur. “Helloooo, this party at Marketplace you were telling us all about!” “Oh YAR. -_- Almost forgot…”
“-.-“
I made everyone meet us at Palate Palette for the Lapsap BBQ Junkyard Sale first, before going there.
Fifteen minutes, i promised Olivia.
Fifteen minutes to shop and i swear we’ll run off then!
It was quite crowded, plus the vendors were having sale so i was DETERMINED to uncover as many treasures as i could in fifteen minutes!
Olivia promptly came to hunt me down when i was upstairs, “Oi! Fifteen minutes up!” “Man… i can’t believe you came to look for me… ok ok!!!”
Lugging a huge pile of clothes in my arms (i told them i didn’t need a plastic bag cos i was leaving and my car was nearby), RR went ohmygawd as i merrily trotted down the road with my bundle of RM10 dresses. Woohoo!
Edna providing entertainment.
We’re so amused by bubbles…
I just sat on the bar stool for the longest time, sipping at my drink and trying to bite bubbles that floated by.
Van’s a Freeformer too
Admittedly, we barely speak in the office.
In fact, i think i can count on one hand how many times we’ve spoken (not counting emails).
Like… twice. Or thrice.
:p
I never see him smile like this in the opis… ha HA!
No pictures for a while cos i jumped into the pool to cool off.
Farah, 2xme, Marlina = the Curly Crew
I made some complete strangers pose with my Circle of Peace
RowdyRudy told me that for awhile, i was making some girl dance with me in it and it became a Circle of Harrassment >.<
Nadia and PrincessMin.
I cut off Nadia’s face cos the pic didn’t look too good.
Trust me.
PrincessMin told me her label Pu3 will be opening for MIFA this year!
Ah yes… me and my Circle of Peace/Harrassment/Anything i Want At Different Times…
But mostly Peace.
Ok ok enough pictures of hula hoop Circle of Peace.
I remember Rahul jumping up and down going, “OH MAN! I’m so happy you invited me for this! Awesome party!!!” Me: I knew you’d enjoy it! Better now before it gets commercialised in a few months!
Ho hum.
RR today: Damn. That was one of the best Sundays i had… I wish i thought of the idea first! Me: Ahaha… Tai Yong beat you to it.
It ruined our wannabe-picnic on Saturday.
It makes me sigh and groan when i want to get to my car and it’s surrounded by a big pool of water.
It caused lightning to strike and electricity to cut in the office today, erupting screams and curses from everyone who didn’t save. Me included.
And (can be left unsaid, really), causes massive traffic jam in the city every day.
But what positive thing it did do, was break a big smile on my face when i was rushing from The Curve to 1 Utama on Monday evening.
A BIG.
BEAUTIFUL.
MAGNIFICENT.
RAINBOW… just spread across the sky and i just couldn’t help going awww! before feeling kinda cheesy for smiling to myself while driving.
I know.
One day imma gonna get into an accident for taking pictures while driving.
