Chelle and i were saying last week how we miss flea markets where people actually sell their own things,
and not all just blogshops selling stuff that seems to have come from the same supplier…
So we went *DING!* LET’S HAVE OUR OWN FLEA MARKET THEN!
Not only have *i* just cleaned out my wardrobe and have HEAPS OF STUFF TO SELL,
but we invited other fashion bloggers aka shopaholics whom we know share the same problem!
If you’d like to partake in the junk sale, we have two more spots for people who’d like to sell things from their car boots (that will be parked outside the cafe)
so do email me at joycethefairy@gmail.com if you’re interested!
Please help us spread the word!
Blog about it, tweet it, share it on Facebook!
Please please please!
If this goes well we’ll have it more regularly (it’s a b*tch bringing all the things out to sell!)
There are many things involved in a girl’s life nowadays.
With two extremely common ones being – SHOPPING and SOCIAL MEDIA.
And what better than something that combines the both!?
Jipaban is a brand new online shopping mall that was launched for Malaysia last week.
Its Singaporean counterpart was launched 6 months ago,
and due to its success, the concept has been brought over for Malaysians as well!
We should have known that something like this would crop up sooner or later…
First of all, so many girls are OBSESSED with shopping online.
And to think that we spend so many hours in malls knowing by heart where our favourite stores are,
it just seems natural that now, i get an ONLINE SHOPPING MALL WHERE I CAN CUSTOMIZE what stores i want in it!
I think it’s brilliant!
Instead of having to surf random blogshops all the time,
i just have to visit one site for, not just clothes, but items of all sorts!
Every person gets to create their own virtual shopping mall spread across 4 floors!
I could put just casual clothes on the 1st floor,
dressier stuff on the 2nd,
and gadgets and knick knacks on the 3rd,
with heaps more space for additional stores i’ll add later on!
So not only can i browse for items without jostling in a crowd (where were you internet when i was younger) but the mall is uniquely personal and my own
I was incredibly late for the Le Midi launch
cos i had my French class till 8:30 (still being diligent for that!)
and dropped by the Thirst preview for an hour.
Le Midi is a new restaurant in BSC, across House + Co.
I can’t say anything about their food since i didn’t try any,
so i’ve linked some food bloggers who DO have something to say about it at the bottom of this post.
They’ve got jellyfish which are undeniably pretty as part of the wall’s deco,
and i couldn’t help feeling sorry for the jellyfish
even though i googled to make sure that they don’t have any feelings
Kevin Yeoh, why are you playing with the strings?
Oh, it was my idea you say?
Cheese to accompany my wine made me stay even longer.
I’m a sucker for cheese.
SmallSerena + Mathieu
Then is was Matt’s or Tubby’s brilliant idea to balance the flowers on their heads.
And then we all started doing it (it was quite difficult!)
Serena cheated!

I’ve been patronizing this fairly new bar in TTDI for awhile now.
It’s been our new replacement for all the other bars where Sid’s and TDH is at,
because that part of TTDI has become way too crowded for us.
Plus we hate how our elbows stick to the tables at Sid’s
Reason i never tweeted or blogged about dLegends before is…
because i was being selfish. >.<
I like going to a place where it’s not crazy crowded,
and i reckoned how crowded can this place get anyway
as there are a limited number of tables,
and i heard they’re not going to be putting more in as they don’t it to be cramped as well.
Food is much cheaper than some other pubs –
tidbits like fries are only RM6,
and sausages + chilli + onion is RM8.
More filling dishes are equally reasonable
with wild boar curry at RM16 nett,
chicken tikka RM12 nett,
legendz burger RM18 nett,
and more i can’t remember.
I don’t like spending so much to eat while i drink,
cos the main thing i’m enjoying then is the drinks,
not necessarily the food!
I merely just want something savoury or salty i can put into my mouth!
Best is the price of alco.
We were paying RM50 for 3 pints of Guinness or Kilkenny.
House-pouring drinks are only RM11 nett, plus they only use premium alcohol – Absolut vodka, Bombay Sapphire gin, Havana rum.
If that’s not cheap already, happy hours (5-8pm) will cost you only RM9 nett a glass.
Can you see why we were trying to keep it a secret for so long!
As for tequila (the mother of all parties), they use Jose Cuervo and it’s only RM1 more than the prices quoted above.
JW whiskey is RM13 nett (HH = RM11 nett).
Bottle of vodka or gin is RM248 nett.
Another reason i’m blogging about the bar is ‘cos i found out one of my friends has shares in it,
and he never told us before -_-
I was like, “Geez dude, we would’ve supported this more if we’d known this was yours!”
And all this while we thought he was just a very regular drinker there haha.
dLegends bar is on Jalan Datuk Sulaiman,
on the same row as Devi’s corner / Mama’s Kitchen.
It’s open 5pm-2am on weekdays,
and 4pm-2am on weekends.
