That’s what i was thinking as i sifted through piles of random items
that i’ve managed to arrange neatly (soddof) in my room.
I’m barely in my room (in my parents’ house) so it basically stocks my clothes, toys, art things, misc items from childhood/teenage years.
It’s got to a point i don’t know where what is,
so i thought ENOUGH i need to RID myself of these things and not be a hoarder like my grandmother.
I love hoarding things… in the hope that SOMEDAY i might SUDDENLY have an intense need for it.
Like a bundle of vintage cloth.
Or pieces of ribbon.
Or a stack of art paper.
Or pretty boxes that would hold a present beautifully (problem is when i’m wrapping a present i forget about those damn boxes).
It’s usually after i chuck it, when an occasion arises that i need it.
The Hoarding God has a way of mocking me, pointing its finger and going, “HA! You tried but it didn’t work out. Better luck next time.”
I’ve spent days removing books and bags and random items off a shelf,
so that i can move it against its perpendicular wall,
and have the back of the bed against the main wall instead.
While i was in the midst of chaos,
i stared at the furniture being moved around and thought, “Wait. WHY am i moving the shelf away from there? It makes more sense for it to be against the long wall!”
And then i remembered.
Because my dad insisted my bed be against THAT long wall for feng shui purposes.
Apparently the current position of my bed is such that i will not have a lasting relationship.
*looks at ceiling*
Being somewhat into feng shui (be genetic default) and not seeing anything wrong with moving furniture around if it’ll increase the value of my life, i have obediently moved the shelf and bed (with MUCH difficulty and moaning on why there isn’t such a thing as paying someone to sort out your room’s stuff for you).
As i pushed the empty shelf into its place, i imagined a *TING!* like something new had clicked into action.
Like by pushing this piece of wood into another corner,
the clockwork of my life has shifted and is changing direction… to a better future!
I paused.
Nothing happened.
I think i was expecting the room to grow brighter,
or the sun to push through the storm clouds outside,
or something ANYTHING to signify this magnificent change.
I think i’m expecting too much from this feng shui thing.
Maybe it needs more time.
Maybe i’m too impatient.
Maybe i should stop blogging and continue cleaning up the mess upstairs.
I told SarChan that i felt like i was cheating on her as i picked songs for the set.
She retorted that she had to let me continue and live the dream -_-
I twisted these H&M stockings and tied them up into a headband.
Due to their psychedelic colour, i’ve dubbed them my Paddle Pop stockings.
And weirdly enough, have been craving rainbow Paddle Pop since then!

It’s December tomorrow and i’m glad for Christmas hols to really kick in!
Events have been OTT the past two weeks as they always are nearing the end of the year.
It’s like all the brands suddenly want to spend their money throwing parties and get people to dress up and drink!
Last Friday Clem and i took a taxi to the city.
It’s a habit we have where if we think we’re both gonna drink more than a few,
we’ll take a taxi cos it’s safer for us and anyone else on the road.
I don’t think it’s something many of us normally practice in KL.
We’re so used to drinking and driving (and bribing the cops should we get stopped)
that we don’t stop to think the dire consequence (and reality) of someone getting into an accident should it *touch wood* happen.
Paying for taxi fare is the same as parking + petrol anyway.
And a whole lot safer!
On Friday, we went to the AugustMan Men of the Year party @ the Merc showroom.
How Groupsmore works,
is putting together all these crazy promotions and discounts off food, entertainment and spa treatments.
Once the minimum number of people agree to buy the package, the deal is on.
They’ve just posted another deal recently so if you want to get in on some 5-star pampering without the 5-star figure,
you can buy it *here*
After the facial and massage (i passed out!)
we went to get lunch at the Lot 10 food court.
Olivia told me how it’s been refurbished and the food is much nicer,
and seeing how we were in the area which rarely happens,
i wanted to check it out and try the food.
I like how they did up the Hutong Chinese cafe area,
like a high class coffee shop with shiny floors and marble tablesย
Clem had noodles for RM8
I had a veggie + braised pork + rice set for RM12.
‘Twas yums and i whacked it!
After lunch we walked to Pavilion with the good intentions of Christmas shopping…
but crowds don’t really ignite the best in us,
so we left and went home to do our favourite thing… PLAY MONOPOLY DEAL!
Dropped by The M Carnival at Gardens in between my French class (i’m getting tired of driving to the city! :p) and Eloise’s birthday party,
was already late for Eloise’s thing so took some quick snaps and ran off!
They had a Lady Gaga theme going on.
True, this theme has been done at sooooo many parties,
but the display and people dressed up were more outstanding than previous ones i’ve seen!
Big plus were lots of little food ‘vendors’ with little delectable sweets guests couldn’t resist.
