fairy bald

DidiBuli took this the moment i stepped into office today.

It was supposed to be a “Number 1” shave to raise 10k for the Malaysian Pediatric Foundation and Rumah Shalom
But they approached me asking whether i’d go all the way for an extra 10k
I said ok
And the bidding actually reached a 20k in total…

So now i look like a punk kid.

It feels either too hot or too cold all the time..!

But it’s okay, i’ll rock it up for Christmas :xlaughing:

    very shaolin monk. cute nonetheless!

  3. Hope says:

Wa caya sama lu! And all this for charity! Shame on those so called celeb bloggers that’s either busy selling lingerie (like anyone’s gonna buy it), posting stupid singing videos of themselves (obviously, they cant sing for nuts) or going away to Japan (real working life-taking leave for holidays never occurred perhaps, what turf).

Bet they rather die than to shave their head. Talk about selfish people these days.

Your bald act shall be remembered always – very inspiring and uplifting to see this.

    Rock on Joyce!

  11. wernnee says:

Have never comment in your blog after years of reading but thought maybe you need to hear this.
These are not words of encouragement but words of all honesty.
I truly admire your courage. I think you pulled it off really well and not many can do it. In any case, you see people staring at you, I could have guess it was envy. I find bald girls carries a very bold and sexy character… more like army sexy kinda thing. But it’s seriously cool…

  12. melle says:

Hoho, you could pass off as a nun. πŸ˜›

  13. yee says:

    Wah.. u look cool babe..
Not everyone can carry this look πŸ™‚
    Good job..

  14. grey says:

you looks like an alien. i thought in conjunction of the movie , the earth stand still thing.. can proudly say, you are the man!

  15. mummmmm says:

Hmm… you disable your comments on all your other posts except for this. I distinctly remember you saying in one of your last posts you don’t need to respond to “fan” comments because you already respond to those who have emailed you positive things… Stop using your “noble” deed to get attention here; by turning your comments on ONLY for this post makes you look like an attention whore, therefore turning your good gesture into a cheap publicity stunt for people to “praise” you for your generosity. It makes me sick. If you’re GENUINELY happy to be doing something for charity, you don’t have to milk your bald stunt for compliments.

  16. suz says:

    OMG i cannot believe it!!!
But Joyce you are STILL beautiful. What made it beautiful is your courage. The most beautiful part is you shaved your head for charity.

And you can definately rock it with the persona in you. you glow and you go, girl!!!!

  17. t says:

    you rock! πŸ™‚

  18. Verne says:

  21. maria says:

I’ve always wanted to try being bald but never had the courage to, because of my face shape and all. You really look good and that photo was just whacking hot. It feels like one of the America’s Next Top Model Episode where the GIRLS will wimp and cry cus they are going to shave their head. What’s different is, i think you’ll embrace it well enough to pull the look πŸ™‚

  22. carol says:

  26. Anon says:

i think bald girls look sexy.

but way to go girl, if you can raise RM20k for charity by shaving, then why not? there are many to help, and this is one of them.

cheers for your courage and your action. some peeps talked, but some really do it!

  27. penny lane says:

kudos for doing it for charity

  29. ash says:

its very similar to the “WORDLDS GREATEST SHAVE” they have in australia for the leukemia foudation. there was a uni-mate of mine who shaved her head as well and she had really nice black shinny super long hair. its pretty common in australia it happens every year if im not mistaken. but i truly respect your decision as not many people in malaysia would have done something like that. πŸ™‚ you’ve truly inspired many joyce! and not to worry, you still look super hot even with no hair. im sure anyone would tap you if they had the chance, the question is would you want it? haha. πŸ™‚

  30. Angela says:

You look cool!! like SERIOUSLY!! You are so daring!!! Now that I wish I could have the courage to shave my hair too!! hahaha…

  31. Sandra says:

  33. Lin-lynn says:

You actually pull it off really well! Very striking with the eye makeup.

Don’t know why it’s such a big deal, here in Oz we often have the shave or dye you hair bright weird colours for kids charities and cancer charities a lot.

  34. cynth says:

ive always wanted to shave my head, but i guess i dont have the courage to do so.

    one day, perhaps.

  35. Cas says:

Wow that’s a good look πŸ™‚ Two thumbs up for what you did girl.

  36. marirama says:

you look great! raise 20k for charity just to shave a head, that’s not hard but not really easy either. thumb up!

    you look good =)

  39. kx says:

    good on u! very nice!!!

  40. melissa chan says:

    1. forget what people say of turning on/off comments – it’s your damn blog, you can do whatever you like. unless its constructive criticism, who cares?

    2. as for going bald, it’s your hair, your body, you can damn do whatever you want to do with it. so if people come say ‘it’s so stupid’ to you, you can just tell them to F off la. i don’t see how stupid it is, although i won’t do it haha cos i won’t look half as good as you do without hair. anyway, a bit of digression (and a bit of rant), but i don’t understand men (and some women) and their stereotype of ‘girls must have hair’ and ‘girls must have LONG hair’ shit. if she looks good whatever hair stlye/length, don;t see what’s wrong with it.

ok but i just wanted to leave a note saying that i damn respect you for shaving your head – you got guts woman.

    ok bye.

  41. supamamia says:

    Definitely shaving for attention! πŸ˜‰
Anyway why don’t cha talk more about the charity so it actually can inspire others
You can delete this I’m not a hater but observing your writing seriously you’re just another seeking for approval to fit in
Don’t cha think so and u’re clever in taking it to another level
Bless your family and don’t try too hard
    Joyce, joyce…………..

  42. joandee says:

  49. Samantha L. says:

    Hey Joyce,

    I’m an avid reader (;
I think it’s great that you agree that men should not even attempt to control how a girl looks like, even if it’s his partner. (My ex said having my hair cut short to a boycut was the last resort that made him lose feelings for me)

P.S. I wanted to go bald too but everyone threatened to disown me hahaha. You look great!
