New Zara in KLCC!

Well. We all know Zara has always been in KLCC (along with every other major shopping mall in KL) but what i mean is the new concept store they’ve created. If you’ve noticed, their Paradigm and Sunway Pyramid outlets all look like this now – minimalist and clean.

I was invited to preview the KLCC store last Thursday night before they opened to the public on Friday, and of course i said yes! Even though i wasn’t allowed to buy anything yet (damn) at least i got a good look up close at all the new season’s pieces, and managed to strategize my shopping when i went by again a few days later. ๐Ÿ˜€

The storefront was still boarded up when i entered, excited much!? I was one of the few media at the time being given a tour by the Zara staff who flew in from different cities in South East Asia. Was trying to absorb all they said but really, i just wanted to heap all the clothes i fancied into my arms and run off to the changing room.

Printed pants. An obsession of mine. I have a STACK of pants because i think they’re imperative for various moods and occasions… I’m so glad i don’t have a corporate job where i can only wear basic tones of pants. That’d be so sad!

NEW ZARA THINGS.
ALL ARRANGED NICELY.
AND JUST ME STANDING THERE.

Oh be still heart of mine!

I’ve already reserved the white cropped cape top. Couldn’t resist how it can go with anything!
The loose red pants below it are killer too.
As is the red and blue patterned top you see in the middle.

Good luck to you when you go into Zara this season.

There are some long loose jackets that Zara suggests you wear over shorts (matching or not) to dress up a casual look.

Faffy from Zara Thailand does it so well! (she’s @faffyy on IG)

The chunky giant pearls remind me so much of Claudia, cos she always wears hers. You’ll see lots of silk sarong pants (like the maroon one above) as well. I got a chardonnay-coloured pair that’s divine.

The silk dress on the right is gorgeous.

(Blah, sorry the picture colour is so off, my camera is spoilt)

Moving up from big splashy floral prints, a trend you’ll be noticing this year are a lot more delicate Asian-inspired florals.

If you shop at Zara, you should know that there are different labels for women under the Zara umbrella – Zara Woman, Zara TRF, and Zara Basic. Zara Woman is a slightly more high end and tends to be a bit more expensive than the other two labels, but that’s because you’d notice that the pieces usually involve nicer materials like silk.

I used to buy a lot of Zara TRF when i was in college, but this year, i noticed that they’ve got some really cool items that i could pull off at an event too…

Lots of aztec print mini skirts

Beautiful embroidery detail

Fashion blogger-inspired tees

Lots of tribal and animal-inspired jewelry this season

Some clear clutches to boot

Check out the KLCC Zara store for yourself, it’s on the ground floor in the middle of the concourse area:
Lot C-051, Concourse Floor
Suria KLCC
