It’s been awhile since i’ve been attending events and i think it’s time for me to get back on the social scene. It’s great to stay away from it awhile, and then go back to when i feel like seeing lots of people, mingling and blogging about it again. I’d rather be excited about it rather than blah another event to go to!

I got an invite for the Magnum ice cream event last week and just had to say YES to going. I’m a big fan of Magnum ice cream and constantly have my freezer stocked with different flavours and sizes. I do have other brands in there too (yeah… i make sure my sweet tooth can be pacified at any given time at home!) but Magnum always seems to dominate the number of ice creams in there.

I’m SO GLAD i went! It was a ‘food + ice cream + wine’ galore session. MY kind of event!

Was so good to see Chelsia! She’s such a sweetie and also loves food. People who love food, and me go very well together.

I didn’t take ANY pictures of the canapés cos i was too busy stuffing my face with them. Each and every one was excellent, as they would be in Shook! Canapés aside we had lots of the new Magnum Choco-Capucinno flavour of course…

I have to say that this was one of those events you could see everyone just GOING for the food and desserts instead of pretending to maintain. Loves it.

Magnum cocktails. I didn’t try this cos… i was too full of food + wine + ice cream. Felt like i might just puke ice cream if i overate!

There was a fashion show featuring the works of veteran designers Zang Toi, Eric Choong, Michael Ong and Granoff.

Joe Flizzow did his thing on stage. Overheard some guests saying he’s pretty good. Haha…… you think?!

Last week was the 20th anniversary of the passing of Malaysian music legend Sudirman. DJ Iman (who’s under Kartel Records, which Joe is CEO of) released a mash up album combining Sudirman’s songs with another great late – the Notorious B.I.G. Download full album *HERE*.

This is Sona, Joe’s protege(?) whose real name is Mika. How fair is it that both of someone’s names can be cool. He also performed on stage with Joe that night.

I went to the event with my friend Jesh, who’s new in town but i bet knows half of KL by i’m writing this post. He’s just moved here from Tokyo, and was the one who took me out when i was there!

The Azorias cape is AMAZING. Fantastic quality and it doesn’t fall off even when i practiced dancing with it on at home!

As if stuffing our faces at the event wasn’t enough, there was a row of freezers chock full with Magnum ice creams for guests to take home in cooler bags packed with dry ice for us! HOW THOUGHTFUL AND NICE AND OH MAGNUM I LOVE YOU. Thanks to Ashley from Wall’s who was really nice to chat with us and give us extra cooler bags (i’m blaming Jesh for shamelessly asking her for it. But no regrets when i got home with my stash).

After the event we thought of going out for one more drink… but didn’t in the end cos everyone wanted to go home and MAKE SURE our ice creams didn’t melt!

This is my extremely happy freezer right now. SCORE.
