Last weekend a bunch of us drove up north to Penang for a Pinktober event at Hard Rock Hotel.
On the way, we stopped for lunch at a particular restaurant, cos Xan insisted so.
And i’m so glad she did!!
Indulgence is a really spacious fine dining restaurant that serves food and desserts made from imported and the best ingredients one can find.
The interior of the place is so interesting,
with knick knacks placed against colourful walls,
and food products for sale at the entrance.
There were all these interesting yummy thingsย i didn’t dare study for too long cos i’s afraid i’d buy them.
I never knew places like this existed in Ipoh! *lame*

An honest name for a brownie
I ordered salmon and prawn in angelhair chili pasta (RM38),
but we all really shared everything we got,
so we got to taste as much as we could!
Homemade pizza with massive prawnsย + caramelized onions was super yums.
In fact, everything i tried was super yums!
If only KL had a place like this i’d be there all the time!!
It’s kinda sad that i only have pictures of half-eaten desserts…
but everyone was just GOING AT IT so badย that the first thing i picked up was my fork and not my camera!
It was THAT good!
My personal favourites are the pavlova and cheesecake.
There was a moment my mouth was filled with so much cheesecake i couldn’t breathe properly.
I greedily admit that was a few seconds of complete heaven.
If heaven had to have a feeling, it would be a mouthful of spectacular cheesecake till you couldn’t breathe.

Seeing Xan is friends with the owner Julie,
Julie took us on a tour upstairs where people can stay in lavishly-designed bedrooms.

There are 7 bedrooms each with different themes and deco
from Italian and Contemporary, to Chinese and English.
These were taken in the Moroccan-inspired one.
The bathrooms are really something.
If my bathroom looked like this i’d spend lots of time reading in it!!
Can’t really see, but this chair has only a piece of wood at the back but is surprisingly comfy.
I’m wearing shorts from Azorias and sandals from Anne Klein.
I love love love all the bathrooms! This one is so trippy!
Too bad there aren’t pix of the bathrooms on their website,
but you can see how all the other rooms look like under ‘Living’.
Gahhh i really want to take a roadtrip with the girls there JUST TO EAT.

Ohh I’d love to stay there. All the different themes and deco are so interesting, they always attract me ๐ It’s like going to different places at one time, right?
a real cool and hip place-must visit it one day.
You should come down to Ipoh more often and find out more interesting things in Ipoh! :p
