We’re moving today!

Gonna be shifting to a bigger apartment (though anything is bigger than what we’re living in right now)
which will be nearer to Clem’s work.
I love the area that we’re currently living in…
but i think it’s damn ex for the amount of space in return.

The thing i’ll be most sorry to be further from,
is our fave Japanese restaurant.
I admit that i never blogged about it before because i just didn’t want people to know that i go there :p
But since we’re moving, i won’t be spending so much time there haha.

I love Rakuzen
I love that the air con is so cold,
beer is cheap,
food is fantastic,
and prices aren’t astronomical.

And no matter how many times i convince myself that i’ll order something else,
i end up being a loyalist and returning to my beloved grilled cod in salt:

It’s the freaking best grilled cod i’ve had in KL!
Soft, smooth, silky flesh… with cripsy salty skin….

Even the rice there makes me happyย   :xwhatevah: :xlaughing:

I foresee future outings to Rakuzen just because i’ll miss it so!
But i will be positive and hope for another restaurant in our new neighbourhood that will live up to my jap food obsession…

Where’s your favourite Jap restaurant in KL?
(Another one i love is Hanazen in Jaya One.)

Love Rakuzen too! The other mid-price Japanese resto for good quality food I really enjoy is Sushi Zanmai in The Gardens. Try and be early for lunch/dinner as lines get really long!

Sugimoto in Hartamas, right above Jarrod & Rawlins. Quaint little place with awesome food.

Ogawa @ Block A, Plaza Mont Kiara

Try Hokano in uptown, it’s the same row as Maybank! ๐Ÿ™‚ You can google for more details, it comes recommended by most food blogs! ๐Ÿ˜€

ZEN at Sunway Pyramid, just above Kim Gary, hasn’t let me down so far.

Yoko’s, which is along Changkat BB, is a really nice place with an authentic ambiance too. On certain nights, they have a small acoustic band playing! Haven’t been in a long while. Hopefully it’s still there. ๐Ÿ™‚

Keeping my utmost favorite place mum due to fear of overcrowding. The place isn’t big but the food is just fantastic in my books. Let me know if you’re feeling adventurous! But my guess is you’ve probably been there before. ๐Ÿ˜›

aya: i’ve never been to japan… one day ๐Ÿ˜€

chris: yeah i know! that’s why i gave up on sushi zanmai… crazy long lines (oh and they removed the smoking area :p)

hhless, steph, hui wen: thanks, didn’t know bout those!

elison: sunway’s out of my preferred areas to drive to ๐Ÿ™‚ as for changkat, every time i’m there i feel like italian hams, tapas or porky stuff instead ๐Ÿ˜€

  8. Rakuzen is one of my favs too!! Especially the one at Empire Gallery ๐Ÿ™‚
