Thirsty Sunday @ Bakita, Changkat Bukit Bintang

Comments (4) Alcohol

Deep invited me to Thirsty Sunday,
a new event that’s in town where you pay RM35 entry
to try all these different international and local beers
while snacking on free buffet spread and snacks.

Hard to say no.

I love drinking on Sunday afternoons,
there’s always this SMELL in the air like it’s a holiday,
yet not.

Clem was practically pushing the Chimay in my face,
telling me how much he loves it and how he used to drink it with his friends in the woods after school.
It was actually pretty damn good.

I’ve known Nat since ’04, we used to work for promotions when we were in college to earn some extra moolah.
Here’s an old pic i found of us!
I told her she looks younger now.
Whereas i think i definitely did look younger last time. Schmeh.

When i first walked into Bakita,
i saw Vijen holding a baby.
So i went, “Yours ar?”
Him: No la!!!
Me: Hey… you can’t blame me, i don’t see some people for a few years and suddenly they have babies.

It’s TRUE.

Vijen brought out this Bison Grass Vodka (which Clem said is popular in France) for us to try, and it’s super smooth.
We could easily drink it neat, with no ice whatsoever.

Seeing it was my first time in Bakita,
Vijen showed me around upstairs.

you should also try the bison grass vodka mixed with apple juice on the rocks, with a thin slice of orange. In Poland they call this drink “szarlotka,” (pronounced “shar-LOTE-ka”) which means “apple pie.”

Ooooo…I’ve had the Bison Grass vodka a few times before. It is quite yums. Friend used to bring it back from Germany whenever she visited home
