You know that feeling – the one where you’re a kid in school, you bring this pencil box which you just got and you think is SO cool, happily showing it off to the nonchalant kid who sits next to you, only to hear them say it was the In thing last year, nobody uses pencil boxes like that anymore, laughs, and you feel like a reject?
I’m 25 and i felt like that yesterday:
“Didi! I just put a new playlist on my iTunes, it’s so happy!”
“Who is it?”
“They’re called Vampire Weekend, soooo happy, i like!”
“… Pfft they’re like, so three months ago!”

“… Dude, they’re not even that, it was longer, like last year!”
“Sorry la. I’m not as cool as you.

Point to note:
Never suggest/tell people in Junk what you’re excited about listening to cos either:
a) They’ve heard/written about it already
b) They’ve already met/interviewed the band/singer
c) It’s not cool enough for them
