I went to 1U to have lunch with AshleyTheMonkey (she works there, but soon to be elsewhere! )
and popped by Bimba & Lola to have a look at their Fall Winter 09/10 collection
and pick up a couple of things i like.
Thought it’d be easy enough…
walk in, pick out, walk out.
But there were so many nice things there,
that picking out 2 items weren’t enough to quench my shopaholic hunger!ย
I quite liked the double-toned clutches.
But knowing me, i’m awfully clumsy and tend to drop my clutch,
PLUS it’s super difficult maneuvering a clutch + drink + camera at events!
Fierce booties with straps across the front…
Tiny studs on the toecap of the shoes! ARGH so nice!
I thought this bib necklace would fare really well with my current hairstyle!
Boots that i really liked, but didn’t fit me well at the calf area.
And i know (from many previous purchases) that it’s pointless to buy something just because i like it.
Cos more often than not, i end up wearing it twice,
and it spends the rest of its shoe lifetime gazing at me every time i pick out a pair to run out in.
I came home to check out the website at www.bimbaylola.es
Am super impressed by how they change their layout every season or something
(cos i’ve been checking it out for the past 2 years)
It used to be a view looking down on a charming village,
and now it’s a really trippy view of dogs and quirky objects
(while Feist’s My Moon My Man plays, brownie points!):
Some of my FAVOURITE items from their FW collection!
Can imagine kicking ass at an event or Barsonic in these shiny babies!
Am SO tempted to get this, just in case i don’t have kickass wellies to rock up in a muddy concert one day!
Hunter boots would be ideal, but seeing i can’t get those in Msia,
these would suffice too!
Decisions had to be made between this bag and some shoes.
Tough decisions aiyiyi!
Check out the fabric cuffs…
and the bangles with embedded embroidery…
and the fluoro animal print ones…
*wants them ALL*
Can’t say no to fur, feather, and fringe…
In the end i went with these two pairs of shoes:
Which i’ve been wearing incessantly…
But it was SO difficult to pick!
I REALLY WANT THEM ALL!
.
Hey Joyce. Saw ur article/interview at the Strait Times today. Looked good + cool (as always).
You’re so right! I want them all too!
xoxo
Miss A.
hey joyce. have been reading your blog for quite a while now and i really like your eclectic style. i know eclectic is such a cliche word to use but, well you know what i mean. those two pairs of shoes you got were the ones that i tried as well but then could only settle to stroking it lovingly after i saw the price of it. “i’ll come back to visit you and hopefully you’ll be on sales soon” i said to them both before thanking the nice salesgirl in the ponytail for letting me kacau her coz waiting in the restaurant (where i help out my aunt when i dont have classes) for customers get pretty boring after a while.
btw, you were having lunch there (oriental cravings) with your friend when i was helping out last month, i think it was during that gap promotion period going on and i wanted to go over to say hi but then i was kinda shy and thought you would probably prefer it if you could have your lunch in peace. well mostly coz i was shy though.
well erm.. have a great day! =D
zeeknotgeek: aw thank you ๐
secretshoesproject: i’m glad we agree!
karen: what a really unexpected and storytelling comment! well hopefully you reach shoe gratification too, and soon :)and don’t need to by shy next time, in fact, i’m always the one in shy delight (so cheesy) when ppl come up to say hi xxx
