I went for a 45-minute coffee yesterday with AshleyTheMonkey, as she urgently wanted to discuss something.
Halfway through, director Peter calls me from Singapore to tell me his idea for a video we’re to shoot this week.

“I’m thinking of shooting you in a Carrie in Sex and the City kinda angle, because of how you access most of your work through the internet. So we want to do it in your bedroom,” he explains enthusiastically.
“I don’t think that’s such a good idea…” i said, while gawking inwardly at yet another Carrie comparison.
Certain things have become so uncanny, it has become ironic.

After some back-and-forth conversation, i admit that it’s a great approach to the video but still went, “Really. I don’t think it’s the best idea to shoot in my room…” as i overhear Ashley howling with laughter. Because of all people. She has an idea of what my room might look like. I don’t let people into my room, you see.

Hence the reason for me to… sort out a whole load of shit in my room.
I’ve heard before it looks like a boutique instead of a bedroom.
But a very messy boutique.
With a lot of clean clothes and accessories and books strewn everywhere.

OH GAWD.

The trauma i went through starting to clean it today.
Starting is the hardest part.
Continuing with the process is easier.

I took AGES starting – i had breakfast… then surfed online. Then my brother went to tapau lunch. So i waited for lunch (cos hey, no point starting to clean without having a proper meal in you, ey?) Ate lunch. Had after-lunch ‘break’ >.< Changed my status on Facebook. Commented on a few photos. Approved some friend requests.

It was when i realised how i hate going through friend requests and here i am clicking on them, was when it hit me, “Okay. I’m obviously procrastinating like hai. Start. Room. Now.”

And i did.

Damn what a lot of crap i found.

Inevitably, i ran out three hours later to have some Guinness.

As a reward, y’know?

Hmm will continue later. Or tomorrow.
