If you love the lavishness of the 50s and the 60s, you will definitely be attracted to the latest collection of Bulgari: The Diva Collection, which was recently unveiled at The Majestic Hotel. The Diva Collection is inspired by the iconic divas of the 50s and 60s who lit up the silver screen; like Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner, and Italy’s Sophia Loren, who exuded the opulent Dolce Vita lifestyle of the era.
The Majestic’s Orchid Room had models with flouncy dresses floating around gracefully, making me feel like I was in one of the movies I watched as a kid.
Bulgari lured Carla Bruni to be the face of the Diva Collection campaign, shot by Terry Richardson. The former First Lady of France is also an Italian beauty — her love for jewelry and respect for the historic Roman-based brand convinced her to return to modeling for the shoot, and this campaign also marks her first time modeling for a jewelry brand.
Bulgari’s jewelry is arguably the most famous in Italy. Known for the finest collection of gem stones, bold colour combinations and daring designs; what’s more extraordinary is its amazing gem stone placement (so close together that no metal is visible at all).
The Diva Collection is united by its fan-like motif (inspired by Liv Taylor’s eye lashes in a film), which then transforms into patterns of flower petals, or hangs in an elegant cluster with a hint of the Orient.
Inspired by Liv Taylor’s bold, rich and luxurious look in the film ‘Cleopatra’, the Diva Collection is distinguished by its geometric patterns and bold combination of the rarest gemstones around the world – a Bulgari trademark.
Necklaces and earrings dominate the Diva Collection, with a small collection of bracelets, rings, clutches, shades, etc.
Bulgari’s watches are well-known worldwide, and included in the Diva Collection.
The Diva Collection features bags with snake elements, that look much more mesmerizing in real life.
The head and tail of the snake are decorated with gem stones.
