On the day of the MIFA Fashion Show, i rushed from office to Gardens Midvalley, at around 6pm.
Justin said call time for hair and make up was at 5pm, but we agreed that i really didn’t need someone do it for me, plus i hate wasting time waiting around.

We still ended up waiting, obviously -_-

Dinesh, Justin’s friend + other muse, arrived 10 minutes before i did.
And we couldn’t help bitching about how hot it was backstage.
Actually, everyone was bitching.
It was so crowded, like a pasar malam.

Because we didn’t have to wait around for make up, we did a quick fitting to make sure the clothes fit and ran downstairs to stuff ourselves with food.
Yeah. Some models/muses we are.

I adore Sushi Zanmai for many reasons – extensive menu, inexpensive (around same price as shitty Sakae Sushi), smoking area, affordable sake.

Everytime i go there, i feel i need Post-its to mark all the things i want to order… because there are so many!

It was just Dinesh and i, since Justin had to hold the fort (read: be around his clothes), and we chatted and got to know each other since the only thing we had in common so far was Justin. It almost felt like a date. Except he doesn’t swing the same way.

Went back upstairs to the chaos and got grabbed by SmallSerena to teman her eat as well.
She ate, i just had more sake.

I was pressuring Dinesh, “So, what kinda smile are you going to give? A subtle cool smile?! A big flashy i-love-Justin-Yap smile?! A give-no-fuck face?!” I grinned different expressions like a maniac.

SmallSerena again. Yeah. Nothing to do la.

Oh yeah! When i was in the small fitting room earlier in the night, i met Hanis from Malaysian Dreamgirl.
I’d already stated in a previous post how she’s my favourite contestant.

She was right in front of me and i recognised her so i simply called out, “Hanis!” and she turned around.
“I, urm, watch you on Malaysian Dreamgirl…” i said.
“Eh… you’re Joyce…”

Wah, i damn bangga she knew my name!

“Ringo told me about you “
“Ohhhh…”

And she was super cute man. I’d already stuck out my hand to shake hers and do the regulatory kiss-on-cheek thing but she looked like she was going to hug me then stopped.

TOO CUTE.

You just feel like you wanna take her out, and show her around and bring her out party.

So anyway, while everyone’s waiting their turn to go unto the runway, i saw her from across the room and went to stalk her.

And took pictures with her and Alwyn (whom she walked for as well).

When we finally went to walk out, plans changed a bit.
There were supposed to be three of us walking side by side – Dinesh, Justin and me.
Tiba-tiba one of Justin’s models were placeless (i love using that word) and she had to walk next to Justin (cos he had to be in the middle, and she’s tall and would look better in the middle).

So there were four people in a row walking down the runway.
There isn’t really ample space for four to walk down in a row unless they’re all holding arms or something.
And being on the side, i was terrified of falling off 0_o
Imagine falling off… oh god. Utter humiliation.

So i decided in a split second i’d rather walk a bittt behind instead of risk falling off.

And then and then. While we were posing in the front, i was CLASPING my hands.
As i was doing it, i was thinking, “Wtf am i doing? Stop it! Put your hand on your waist goddammit! You look like a nun!”

But i was too stoned and the moment of standing in front of the cameras only lasted few seconds.

Sorry i didn’t look at you guys… i couldn’t really see anything for the blinding light! Oh, and fear of falling off.

There were heaps of helium balloons hovering at the ceiling which guests and models were taking home.
In a sense, i’d say we were helping the cleaners cos the event was over already.

I thought it’d be cute to surprise the man at the door with a bunch of them, so i started hopping (so i couldn’t reach the end of the string okay) to get them one by one.
Must’ve looked very sad case cos Joe started helping me.
I was more afraid he was going to topple over cos he looked mighty tipsy.
