Rome is filled with gypsies begging for money or making you buy stuff
I saw this young girl sitting on the sidewalk breastfeeding her baby
Obviously i didn’t take a photo with her breast showing
A bit kurang ajar right 
So i knelt on the ground and took a shot
She looked mighty annoyed (i don’t blame her)
So i put a few Euros into her plastic cup
And she stared straight at the camera
I keep on staring at her expression
Furrowed brows
From the sunshine?
From aggravation from intrusion of privacy?
An almost-sneer slipping off the edge of her lips, she jeling-ed her eyes at me once more before i slunk away meekly.
At least i got the shot

Pretty much all over Europe, in France, Italy, Spain, they’re out there with super nimble pickpoketing fingers and all sorts of scams (usually involving approaching tourists with flowers and all)… Had too many close calls with them. Let your guard down for a second, and suddenly something’s missing. Serious.

Gypsies… not to sound like a racist but really, like what j0sh_w said, watch out for these people. A gypsy stole my handbag a couple of month ago, including my precious Minolta DiMage.

Obviously when people beg for money, they should at least be grateful in some way… But giving that sort of depreciative expression… Of course there is the pride issue, and perhaps they wouldnt beg unless they need to.
Then you have to wonder, why do people usually donate? Guilt money? To feel superior? Actually doing that for no reason? (I believe there is always a reason.)

It must be the 2nd assumption. When you breastfeeding and some stranger standing right infront adjusting the camera to snap them am sure it’s so uncomfortable. More over she gotta do it out on the open street and begging in the cold. Jeezz.. Agree with nightstar. It’s a beautiful picture and she’s pretty. Makes you realized the hard life they have to go through. Bless them…
