It’s been awhile since i did that… i don’t usually choose to, but it JUST SO happened that a few things we promised/wanted to go for ended up at almost the same time on the same night.
First Clem and i went for the PUTRA Brand Awards, an industry black tie event where brand building is recognised based on consumer surveys. GAB invited me for the dinner so there was a lot of Guinness and Heineken in our hands that night…

When the dinner was almost over, Clem and i left for Nash‘s 40th Birthday party.
Sazzy did such a great job setting it up, not to mention throwing another birthday party for their 3-year-old twin daughters the following Sunday. She’s a crazy supermom!
Nice when you have friends like Ning sing on stage too ๐
With Yasmin and Haris, who were deciding who should slap me for talking about trying to put on weight.ย And one of my favourite couples Azura and Cristiano!
After the birthday party, i headed to Nagaba to join Clem.
Don’t worry, we both took taxis that night seeing we were gonna drink!

Then Clem and i headed to Rootz together for the relaunch. The club has changed its entire interior and has now got these mozaic detailing on the walls, easily-accessible podiums around the whole club, and lovely bathrooms.

We finally went home at 4:30am and passed out after arguing how horrible McDonalds is.
Clem wanted McDs and i was whining how awful and unhealthy it is :p

Saturday: I woke up and went over to my parents for lunch of curry laksa with steamed chicken.
Then we all went to DPAC to watch Kuah Jenhan‘s latest stand-up comedy together – my parents, Clem, and i.
Ended up sitting next to Aps who brought her mum too!
I didn’t get nice pix in there cos i only had my phone, so thought since the poster is so nice, it’ll suffice!
I LOVE Jenhan‘s shows cos he keeps it clean but is SO FUNNY.
My mum LOVES him. Actually, all moms love him.
Take note to catch him next time!
On Sat night, Clem and i went to Alexis Ampang to have dinner with Vince and Marina especially because Melissa Indot & The MSFTSย were performing there that night.
I was trying to be good and order a salad but in the last split second the words “spaghetti carbonara please” came out of my mouth.
And i also asked them to keep a piece of tiramisu for me. It’s so HARD to eat healthy when temptation is within such easy reach…
Melissa sang two sets, we bumped into a handful of friends there like Raf and Sher, met new friends, danced, and finally left when the place closed! Then we went to Sa’s house to play guitar hero with Siew Wai till 4:30am… again.

Sunday:
I woke up with a JOLT thinking, “Oh my god. It’s Monday. Omg. What do i have to do today… think Joyce think! Who do i have to meet in the morning?!”
Then i realised. IT’S ONLY SUNDAY!
That realisation felt SO GOOD as i sank back into bed in relief and slept for another hour.
I think it felt like Monday cos i did so much on Fri and Sat already!
Have to admit i felt pretty tired and just wanted to do NOTHING on Sunday.
Got out of bed at 12:30pm, just missed my parents who already had lunch so i went to get bak kut teh in Centrepoint before going over to the Loh Lohs to see baby Cameron and watch TV.
We had an afternoon feast on the table… Mattrena bought this crazy huge chicken curry puff from Jalan Ipoh, where a little bag of chicken curry is baked inside this pau. It’s supposed to be really famous and i’m really useless telling you this cos i have no idea where it is.
Around 5:30pm i left for home for one of my favourite times of the week – sofa and movie time with Clem!!!
Recently we’ve watched True Detective,ย Limitless, some new episodes of New Girl, and started Sherlock.
They’re all really good.
Well, Clem and i like True Detective cos it’s about a serial killer and we love that stuff.
It’s also got Matthew McConaughey who’s brilliant in it.
Limitless has Bradley Cooper and i love anything with him in it.
Ok i need to get some real work done now BYE
