Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has taken place in different cities e.g. New York, Paris, Berlin, and Istanbul. In collaboration with Stylo International, the Mercedes-Benz STYLO Asia Fashion Week took place in KL just last week.
Featuring both emerging and veteran designers from 11 Asian countries – Malaysia, China, India, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand & Hong Kong – the theme was aptly called “Asia for Asia”.
All the designers vyed against each other for the “Asia’s Most Influential Designer of 2014” award.
Below are looks from the runway and shots of stylish peeps we saw:
Hangar – India
Hangar got much applause for his witty combination of traditional Indian Saris with prints and a modern take on its draping.

Mode Acote – Japan
Just like its name implies, Mode Acote’s collection is focused on the popular Japanese ‘Mode’ style – lots of black and white with dramatic silhouettes. The difference is the application of ruffles and lace, that results in a mix of two worlds.

Ben Ten from Indonesia stood out amongst the plethora of modern and urban designs that night. Embellishment details, golden leaves and flowers on the dresses, and fragile headgear made the collection vivid and captivating.
