Ever since i’ve returned, i’ve been on a MISSION to eat all my favourite regular dishes ASAP. I even tipped the airport taxi driver to take me to tapau curry laksa before dropping me off at home. So far i’ve had my fave hawker food (curry laksa, pork noodles, chicken rice, hakka mee), Fat Spoon spicy beef noodles, Vin’s prawn pasta, chili pan mee, etc.
Bumped into Kubz and Herukh at Rahul‘s birthday bash last week, and everyone’s been talking about their new lobster briyani at Fierce Curry House. Managed to push it outta my mind till i happened to hear Herukh talking to Asha Gill on Capital FM bout their lobster briyani. I texted Kubhaer immediately: Lunch tomorrow?
Hence, lunch TODAY: Lobster briyani.
Kubz asked whether anyone else was coming, and i said, ย “Why? Just you and me la.” Haven’t caught up with him for so long, i prefer one-on-one chitty chat sessions. He said cos the lobster briyani is for 2-3 people.
He lied.
It’s for 4-5 people. It’s so big i had to bungkus the rest home (which is not a bad thing…)
The lobster briyani is steamed in a tin pot that’s sealed off with flour, that Herukh cut off for us. After that, he rushed off saying, “There’s a seafood sale in Giant today, i want to see if i can get anything. And i have to fight with all the Chinese aunties.” So cute.
Why, hello. Well… I actually felt a little bit bad for eating it. I don’t know why, but lately i’ve been feeling bad for eating animals and urm particular sea creatures sometimes.
That’s just the lobster CLAW mind you.
If you want to have this, i suggest you get together a group of friends so you can try everything: lobster briyani, scallop briyani, mutton briyani, and crab curry (i haven’t even tried their crab curry yet!!). BTW the lobster briyani (RM200) has to be ordered ONE DAY in advance. That’s how epic it is.
We had some sides. Deep fried bittergourd and ladies fingers.
If you don’t want to eat there (which is well comfy cos they have air con inside), you can also order a takeaway or delivery. They deliver to Bangsar and certain parts of PJ. If i knew this earlier i could have avoided a lot of horrible McD lunches in the office.
