Professional Expertise in Your Hands

Advertorial

My whole life i’ve never applied foundation with a brush or sponge (eek)
and just resorted to using my fingers.
I own some professional make up sponges someone gave me but have never used them as i heard they suck up 50% of the foundation – wastage!

The way i see it,
using sponge = cheap and easy to apply, but it wastes a lot of foundation cos the sponge absorbs 50% of the foundation. So it ends up being washed off the sponge, instead of ending up on your face!
using brush = professional but messy, i know i’ll leave the brush lying on the side of my sink, staining it! Also, some girls find it rather expensive to buy a brush just to apply foundation.
using fingers = easiest and laziest way, but difficult to blend + even out foundation perfectly = poor blending for even application.

So when i saw that this new  L’Oreal Paris built-in brush foundation pumps out foundation into the brush and comes with a cover, i was quite intrigued.
Girls generally don’t buy separate foundation brushes cos it just costs more,
so a built-in brush foundation makes a whole lotta sense!
They are ideal, as they’re said to produce even, precise and professional results
and is easier to apply with than fingers.

I was also thinking about how it’d be easy to carry around in my handbag if reapplication need be, cos you’d just have to pop the cover back on to avoid any staining in bag.

Behold the new L’Oreal Paris White Perfect Pearl Brush-On Whitening Foundation Essence
[that’s a seriously long name…]

This is me sans make up. Ugh.

I have bad eye bags (hello work),
uneven skin tone (don’t know who/what to blame except genes)
and dark spots on my cheeks (blame my sunshine love).
People used to affectionately dub the little spots on my cheeks freckles.
Now that i’m older and the darn spots have increased in size,
they’re obviously not freckles but HELLO DARK SPOTS HORROR!

The L’Oreal Paris foundation is formulated with Melanin Block™ and Vitamin CG
to reduce the appearance of dark spots, brighten and even out skin tone.
(anything that prevents more dark spots from appearing on my skin is FAB with me!)
It also has SPF 17/PA++ to protect skin from harmful UV rays.

It’s really easy to use, let me show you how it works!
Trying it out step-by-step:

Step 1:
I pushed the blue button until foundation oozed out slightly from the middle of the brush and applied a small amount on the back of my hand to even out the distribution of foundation in the brush.

The foundation is really soft and glides on easily with a satiny and matte finish.

Step 2:
I applied the foundation in broad, downward strokes
to sweep & blend the makeup onto the nose, forehead, cheeks & chin.

Step 3:
Apply in downwards criss-cross strokes to avoid streaky brush marks.

Went to the bathroom to do it properly cos i needed the mirror!

This is me after applying the  L’Oreal Paris White Perfect Pearl Brush-On Whitening Foundation Essence:

NO powder or additional make up included!
It hid my dark spots really well, due to the satin coverage which can conceal all my spots without the need to use a concealer.

One thing i noticed was the pearly radiance and rosy glow that seemed to exude after applying it (wonders of the White Pearl Complex extract methinks), you can actually notice it in the picture above!
The whitening benefits really give a complete whitening effect.
The foundation is also very moisturizing, as it contains Hyaluronic Acid to keep skin hydrated and supple all day.

So the picture ABOVE is with just the foundation on.
After adding some eyebrow pencil, lip gloss and mascara:

Tada! Flawless skin and a perfect finish (if i do say so myself!)

It’s easy to apply foundation like a professional make up artist
with this brush foundation on hand.

It glides on easily, provides an even and consistent application that is so crucial when using liquid foundations (streaks are a big nono), and you don’t even have to get your fingers dirty! Now I can proudly offer my ahem, professional expertise to friends who need help with makeup.

Plus, it’s really affordable at RM79.90 only.
Normally a foundation brush alone will cost more than that!
You can check it out at your nearest Guardian/Watson outlet.

Seeing is believing! Before & After pix:
