Last Thursday was a proud day for Malaysian brands KLutched and AirAsiaX,
as they collaborated to host an intimate soiree at Paris Fashion Week!
I was invited along to fly with the team and cover it…
but i had to turn it down cos of Clem’s birthday.
I know some are going to say it’s a stupid thing to do,
and Clem even asked me to go for it.
But i knew in my heart i’d feel awful for abandoning him last min to plan his party alone,
plus it’s not like he’s got any family in KL to ease the birthday blues.
And i know myself.
I’ve done this before, where i choose myself over someone,
and i feel really bad about it after.
I love fashion. But i love Clem more :p
Anyway i promised the team i’d blog about the party they organised,
and it’s truly worth a full blogpost cos it’s so great to see Malaysian brands that we’re so proud of being introduced to Parisians!
The party was held in Molotov PolitBar,
a Russian-themed vodka bar in fierce red decor – perfect with AirAsia’s own identity!

Malaysian singer/DJ Melissa Indot flew there as well to provide the music!
She spun for the night, and sang two new songs from her upcoming album.
The party was to bring to attention the new weekly Paris-KL route available on AirAsiaX,
as well as the exotic and exquisite bags KLutched produces!

The night ended with a lucky draw, where 2x KLutched bags and 2x Return AirAsiaX tickets for the new Paris-KL route were given out.
The 2 peeps who won the tix from Paris to KL and back were a model, and Hamid Berchiri, a photographer for Vogue.
Isn’t it great to know more people see Malaysia in a flattering way?!
I know i do! I’m always excited to tell people where to go and what to do/eat when they come here.
Here’s to hoping there’ll be more collaborations in the future!

This is “soft power” at its best.
