Hi, i’m Evil, and i’m letting you know Topshop is on sale.

Comments (6) La la la

Today was the first in ages
i didn’t have some meeting/inteview/shoot/event
or appointment of any kind

So i took advantage of it
to run around town like a mad person
running unavoidable errands

Tapau-ed char koay teow,
and ate it at home while doing emails

Dropped by recycling centre @ Ikano
thanks to boxes from new shoes
and plastic from Clem’s dry-cleaning
plus heaps of other paper, beer cans and plastic

Did my taxes at the new Lembaga Hasil office @ Damansara Perdana
Was mighty impressed at how modern the government building looked!
Brick walls, metal + glass
And all the staff inside were incredibly friendly and spoke great English
:p
Sorry but you know government workers aren’t known for their proficiency in this language

Drove to Jalan Sultan Ismail
picked up a cheque

Wondered how to get to Central Market from there
and called FaiTheMai for directions
(You know every person has 1 friend they call for directions? :p)
Met Justin Yap at his work studio
and picked out some things i thought i might wear to Audi Fashion Fest

We went for lunch at what was supposedly
the best wan tan mee in Petaling Street area
His uncle said so and he’s a foodie so he has Food Bitching License

Rushed to BSC after that, to pick out an outfit from Gallo (also for AFF)
Reason being, i really wanna represent Msian designers when i’m there!
I want to be able to reply, “Oh, this top? It’s from so-and-so, a Malaysian designer, have you not heard of him/her? *beams*”

From Bangsar i went to 1U,
where i got a memory card reader
and enquired bout printing namecards
cos i was thinking how lame it is
that i don’t have a namecard for my blog
and have nothing to pass in return anymore

From 1U i went home,
and planned on designing the namecard right then
to send to print and be ready by end of the night
Then it had to storm and i got scared the modem might fry
so i switched off everything -_-
Got namecard done, went back to 1U to print

While waiting 3o minutes for it to print,
i went to buy dinner for myself.

And happened to walk past Topshop.
On sale.

Picked out a few items,
and had the alarm go off on me TWICE.
The first time, they found a metal detector they forgot to remove from a top.
The second time, they found a metal detector they forgot to remove from a pair of shorts.
Can you say ‘malu’ with me?
When i walked out the third time, i said,
“If it goes off again, you’re gonna have to give me a free top or something.”

Actually i wasn’t angry at all,
and we were all smiling and joking.
I think i was giddy from the shopping.

-_-

Picked up namecards,
packed for AFF halfway
and decided i’d better come to Clem’s place
before he says we didn’t spend time together tonight

And i found him passed out
at 10:30pm
because he (on his insistence)
partied with me two weeknights in a row.

And third night cannot make it already.

I said: Welcome to your girlfriend’s party life, dude.

+ + +

Check out this brilliant ad done by Stefan Sagmeister (THE SAGMEISTER) with Kubhaer.
It’s a fucking fantastic work of art.

I told Kubs it was so brilliant, i felt like crying.
He replied with how i had to slow down on the drinks.

-_-

I’m sober tonight la wei.

Basket.

Bata is next to it right the LHDN at Damansara Perdana. It’s funny how the building was design with bricks (Bata in Malay) on the outer layer.
