I know this is a bit backlogged but you know why?
Cos after i susah payah upload the pictures unto a post, it went screwy on me and i couldn’t bear to continue it till i had ample time. I only had ample time on Monday night since i didn’t have any events/something to go for.

I went for the Hennessy event i blogged about one Friday after work. Nick of Nuffnang was layan enough to pass me extra VIP invites to invite my friends as well. Being the last-minute person i am, i invited QueenKanch, FaiTheMai and AshleyTheMonkey to go for it with me on the day itself :p

I told them to meet me outside at a certain time cos i was to be punctual. And usually they are, just for once… all three were late -_-

The whole point of inviting your friends to an event with you is so that they’d suffer early in the night with you right.

So i waited outside for them…

In all honesty, i don’t mind waiting alone unless i’m late for something, then it gets me antsy.
Cos while i’m waiting, i can just stone and space out while taking a chill pill from work.

I watched people queuing up at the registration booth – for those who registered online, invited guests, VIP guests and media. I was quite surprised people came early and on time for a party event, which was a good thing, no doubt!

There was also an Art of Mixing booth outside to pique curiosity from bystanders like me, which was pretty cool. People were encouraged to ask their silly questions from a professional DJ while fiddling around with the turntables and mixer to try out what it’s like behind the decks. If anything, i think it enabled guests to appreciate a DJ more cos it’s not as easy as it looks once you’re behind it doing the work!

DJs that were to look forward to that night were DJ Andrew K, DJ Keri and VJ Callen.

The gang finally arrived and we trooped inside.

PR dude Ian was super layan and took us to our reserved table. I saw Deep and gang at the lounge area and went to say hi to them. After fluttering around catching up with people around there, i realised where my gang was seated was so not happs so i dragged them all to where the action was.

Sometimes i’m damn scared when i take Kanch out for events. Cos the woman is damn diva and if she doesn’t like it, she’ll give a sniff of disapproval, make a polite excuse and leave.

Luckily she didn’t ditch me that night. Because apparently there were a lot of cute guys (i didn’t see any… maybe cos i don’t switch my radar on anymore)

Kanch: Ooh… i like this event. At least they tapis the crowd… Nice, nice *nods*

Trust her to come up with a phrase of tapis-ing the crowd…

I bumped into Van who introduced me to Andrew K (one of the DJs featured that night), and i thought i might as well camwhore with him for this post

I had no idea what to expect from his music but it turned out fantastic and got me going into party mode!

Doress + EddyTheCanvas

I hadn’t seen much of Doress since the first time i met her in Bali, suddenly bumped into her with them and we drank lots and lots of Hennessy cocktails.

Which are, by the way, really tasty and strong.

I’ve never been a fan of Hennessy as i always see it as an old’s man drink that i end up drinking when the boys in Somo open a bottle or other friends do. It’s just that with other tastier drinks around, i don’t see why i had to make myself suffer with Hennessy when i could order something else stronger and better.

That event changed my mind.

Velvet waiters just kept on coming with the Hennessy City Cocktails. I loved it cos you never had to crane your neck to look for a waiter when your drink was done, they were already waiting with a tray of them!

For the Hennessy City Cocktails (admittedly i like name), there’s Hennessy Miami, Hennessy Shanghai, Hennessy Moscow and Hennessy Paris.

And they were good! Each had a distinct taste so everyone eventually pinpointed which one they liked best. Not only did they taste luscious but they were strong too.

I fancied the Hennessy Miami best.

They even have all the recipes on the Hennessy Artistry website so you can try concocting them for yourself if you missed the event

Now i know what to do when my guy friends get together for a house party and drink Hennessy… i can make these and my complaints will cease!

DJ Keri was on stage singing, so i crept up to take a pic.

Fail = Blur because tipsy people don’t know how to change digicam settings.

JP couldn’t open his eyes after all that Hennessy.

This girl came to take pics with me and being the happy friendly drunk i am, i asked for her name and took a picture with her too. I forgot it after half an hour, sorry!

I forced myself to leave Velvet at 1am… or was it 2..? Cos i’d really had enough to drink already.

QueenKanch and i went for supper with Roen (SEE. I’M WRITING YOUR NAME HERE OKAY and it’s not because you threw a party!) and gang who made a big hullabaloo telling funny stories.

The following Monday at work, i bumped into Van in the pantry. We barely chat at work.

Van: Andrew K! *out of nowhere*
Me: … Dude… i woke up the next day remembering how i was dancing in the console okay..!!!

I haven’t gone prancing in the Velvet console like that for at least half a year.
What happened to my composed self?!

I’m blaming the Hennessy City Cocktails.
