Skipping The Monday Blues

By experiencing pain instead
I went for my first brazilian wax today
I never did it before, not because i adore a fancy garden, no!, but on the contrary.

“Try it,” my regular manicurist would urge as she nonchalantly files my nails down to a square shape. “It won’t grow back as much.”
“Er… ugh…. i want to but… i just cannot tahan growing it to 1cm la!”

So after many failed attempts at growing it up to a cm (it’s torture okay. i just cannot stand it.)
I finally got it up to a cm (not that i measure la okay. I just agak-ed) and went for it.

It was…. not as painful as everyone described it to be.
“Ask them for something for you to bite on so you won’t scream,” advised a girlfriend.
“What… that painful ka?!”

I didn’t scream at all in the end
Just squirmed slightly and particular points of time
“You can take the pain ar, alot of customers cannot the first time they do it,” Corrine said (i think that’s how its spelt)
“Uh huh…” i replied, thinking that my tattoos were visual justice that i could take pain.

There were two types of waxes.
The first gel-like one strips off the longer hairs, whereas the hard pastel green wax does the rest

The most degrading

was when i bared my ass to her.
I mean… i’m a pretty open person, don’t get me wrong.
I even wanted KinkyPugKevin to follow me for my first time (he refused of course)
“Wanna teman me?”
“WHY?!” he almost-shouted and our friendship was on strain, “Can’t you ask Kanch?!”
“No… cos she’s homophobic…”

End of story was he’s too gay to tahan seeing my pun in his face.

So i went alone.

Shit i forgot why i came to this part in the first place.
So, i was saying i’m a pretty open person, yeah?

But it’s hard to maintain dignity when a stranger holds open your ass cheeks to check whether there’s any hair there to remove them from your ass crack.

So yeah.

I go to Strip
28 First Floor
Jalan Telawi 5
Bangsar Baru 59 100
Kuala Lumpur
Tel: 03 2283 6094

All their services are open to men as well.
Upon bombarding the girls working there, they say that a decent number of men who go for waxes as well, primarily Malay and Chinese.
I guess if Indians go, it’s gonna cost a bomb cos then they’d have to strip the rest of their body.
Takkan just have an empty patch down there

I go there for my Brazilians too. =) I like it coz they are super quick and efficient. There was this one salon that I went to b4 Strip came along, they did a SHIT job at my brazilian. Ozmosis is quite good too. But Strip is better. The first time I did it (not at Strip), I had tears welling up in my eyes. And I have a VERY high threshold for pain. Now, so biasa ady lahhhh. πŸ˜› Chehhh, cakap besar *grins* I think the therapists play a huge part in this, if they’re good then ok lah, otherwise….UGH.

Hahaha I cant do without a brazillian! Its not painful at all, but seriously the people in Singapore cant do a good job lar! When I was in Australia, it’s less painful and the hair grows back finer .. but here the rambut bawak becomes panjiang fast! Mwahahaha~ My bf goes to Strip here but each time he waxes the back, pimples all pop up~ hahaha … I finish off his credits for him.

i agree, i think the pain is over rated.

tried strip KL once, didn’t really like them but maybe it was just my therapist. i prefer madeline at glitters BSV2. the place is not half as posh as strip but madeline’s nice and she does a pretty good job. hehe anyway that’s just my opinion πŸ™‚

Oh yea, about baring your ass like tht.. erm. I can’t believe I’m gonna say this, but honestly man, mine took like, 15 mins. Bugger. it’s not that it was that long. It’s that I got slightly thick hair. There. I said it. *runs off in embarassment* *comes back* Oh fukkit la. But apparently, they said look @ your hair on your head. if that’s fine, then you know lah.

Go to GLITTERS at Bangsar Village 2… this married lady – Madeline…yah…see? As jf recommended in the above comment, she’s quite good… clean also…and she speaks to you while she’s at it and she goes…. “SHEAKKKKKKK” without you realising… pink wax. First time is not as painful… next few times actually more painful coz shorter hair.

  14. Anonymous says:

It’s recommended that you pop painkillers about 30mins before your session. It helps πŸ™‚

Brazilian women try and take very good care of themselves and they are very vain. They like to wear tiny bikinis and as such they have to make sure no pubic/ass hair is showing. They have many treatments including waxing to keep up appearances. FYI Brazil has the highest number of women getting plastic surgery in the world. This is partly due to the fact that the women are amazingly beautiful when they are young, perhaps the pretiest in the world, but they dont age too well.
