A Pitiful Irony
That on the same day the Jiaoman tells me to beware of these people conning freelancers, poor puggy kena conned on the exact same day
Apparently there are some people calling up freelancers (designers, writers, photographers) proclaiming that they got their contact from someone and offer very tempting jobs
They’ve got their information down pat, dropping names of people from others publications, clients, etc.
Dude said he doesn’t have a mobile phone and his ‘wife’ calls Kevin’s phone asking to speak to him
So of course, after talking for so damn 7 long to each other bout prospective work, let the fella use a tad right
And he runs off never to come back with the phone
All that effort for a phone… -_-

Too Much Hot Air
I was all eager to check out Maison on a Thursday night seeing i’ve never been there on its RNB nights before
Oh my god.
Never again.
It was SO HOT and the ventilation sucks so badly, that despite having abundance in alcohol, funny conversation and slutty dancing colleagues… some of us left cos we felt like we couldn’t breathe in there anymore.
Crowd-wise, i cringed at people shuffling to R&B
I was like, wtf… 
Tyler pretended to shuffle too, and i threatened to walk away
Tini and i were looking at the girls (mostly college kids) who were pretty glammed up for a Thurs night (dresses, pumps)
We were saying how their dressing was kinda off cos we wouldn’t wear a dress unless it was for an event/cocktail party
But then i put it into different perspective saying, “Wait. Maybe its like how *we* used to look at working people last time and think their fashion was a bit fail. And now *we’re* the working ones who can’t see it but maybe they think our fashion is fail. Haha…”
Tini: No way. We are FINE.
Coming from a fashion designer, okay. I believe her when she says we’re fine.

I figured it was time to leave when Dik started exemplifying the epitome of cheesie pick up lines
Like, “Hey, you have a great body… but you won’t hold it against me, would you?” or something like that
And, “I think your dress is very becoming… cos i’d be coming on you too.”

That’s the EXACT same thing i experienced last year at Maison..! It was soooooooooo hot!!! We really couldn’t breathe in there. It was like a sauna! And everybody was sweaty and brushing against everybody cos it’s packed like sardines…! EEEW.
But i must say, when i was there, i saw sooooooooo many hot chicks all dressed perfectly for R&B and the guys were lookin goood too. But they were all young. Like barely legal young. Or maybe..i’m the aunty that didn’t belong there …. : /

There’s also a sense of shocking uniformity. If there was any place that clubbers could be skema, Maison would be it. I can’t tell them chicks apart.
