Joyce’s First Traffic Jam

The traffic was horrendous today.
It took me an hour just to get to Megamall and 45 minutes to find a parking spot.
And even that, i cheated.
Seeing all the empty reserved spots lining up a wall, i finally admitted defeat and pulled into one, praying that i wouldn’t get clamped. Besides, it would only be for a second, i told myself. All i had to do was choose and pick up some clothes.

So i left my name and number on a piece of paper and chucked it onto my dashboard.
Luckily there were no consequences to pay when i returned to it 24 minutes later.

Just getting out of Midvalley was a headache as well.
The car inched so slowly, i entertained myself by
– singing really loudly, not caring whether i knew the lyrics or sang off-tune because there was noone to bear suffering of any sort
– examined my nails
– sat crossed legged on the seat while shifting to inch a tad more
– tried to talk to Ash on the phone… unsuccessfully
– used my fingers to curl my eyelashes

Yes. I was that bored.

Finally got out of the traffic and went to pick up Smellie.
Dragging boyfriends out on work is useful as they then can help you carry big heavy paperbags.
He needs the workout anyway.

We had a quick bite at Bakerzin before i returned home to rest and do some work.
And here i am typing away now.
How wonderfully small the world is!
RyanSoosay msn-ed me saying he saw AlcoJason walking down a street in London today
So i gave both of them each others’ contacts so that they can drink and be merry.

I have no doubt the alcohol will bond two of my alkey friends beautifully.

Mid V is a nightmare on the best of days, what more you chose to go on a public holiday and during the pre-raya shopping rush. You’re a lot braver than me ๐Ÿ˜›

Hey I do that too in a traffic jam. Except I don’t try to curl my eyelashes. I bounce on my seat trying to make it seem like I have an incredibly powerful sound system.

    I poor lah.
